Simple to assemble for me alone, a small woman w a Philips screwdriver and hex wrench. Might be easier to use a hex wrench w a handle instead of what was provided to hurt your hand less, but it’s doable if you don’t have one. If you’re less able you may need to have assistance. Didn’t have any issues with anything not matching up, so measurements seem accurate. Seems stable so far. I’m not sure I would trust some jumping on the bed, but we haven’t tested that. Does handle a child and a woman reading on the bed at the same time without issue or obvious strain. ... show more

easy for one person to put together. i stacked some books to hold up one end while attaching the other side. you will want a power drill to screw the slats in. much faster than screwing them in with the tool they supply.

Box came damaged, and we believe we are missing one of the 3 pieces to the chimney (that or our toddler ran off and hid one of the pieces as we were assembling, but unlikely as we searched high and low). Otherwise, bed is perfect! Our 2.5 year old can climb in and out with ease, don’t need a side rail at all, and it’s super cute and sturdy. ... show more
