No, really! Have a blast! The instructions said an hour, it took me almost 3. I was alone, it did make the task of assembling it a bit tricky, just follow the pictures.. The headboard and footboard is what took the longest assembling mine. there was a nut stripped out on the headboard, i just added some loctite to secure the bolt.. there was also an issue getting the bars secured on one end of the top and bottom with the screws, i did have to employ some help to hold it lined up so i could secure them. overall, it is super sturdy.. the dogs and i jumped on the bed as soon as it was over. 🥰

Our bed also had a little bent screw opening on the headboard, however! I assembled this bed by myself with the company of a 4month old and a 2 year old in an hour! I got mixed up with the screws toward the end and really expected it to take 5 or so hours, but it didn't. I wasn't expecting anything crazy as far as appearance goes because I only spent a tiny fraction of what a king sized bed frame would cost at a furniture store. We have had this bed for about a month and lemme tell ya, it is silent. My husband and I don't hear each other getting up in the night with the baby or pup. The only other hitch I have is when the bed was assembled, before the matress was put on, if you didn't have 2 people to move it then it would flex and that worried me. So far so good though! Also,this review is for the king sized frame.

Had high hopes for this bed. In the pictures looks nice, and even opening the box the pieces feels nice and sturdy. I first realized there was a problem when I opened the directions and they were only 5 “steps” with no words and poorly illustrated diagrams. When starting to assemble, some of the parts do not even fit inside one another like they are supposed to. And then some of the bolt holes are bent so the screw goes in at an angle so it cannot lay flat. Worked for hours getting them to straighten out and then the wood pieces do not fit in to the headboard. Had to completely disassemble and put those in first, even though that is not how the directions instructed. Tried to work with Amazon to get a discount or something for the POOR QUALITY and having to piece it together with my own tools. But their only solution was to completely disassemble and somehow package back up in that disintegrate box (ups left out in the snow) and ship back to them! Beyond upset and the last time I order any furniture from Amazon. Will just stick to Wayfair next time
