What I was most wary of with this frame is the slats. I had an old imea bed frame with slats and they migrated and broke off their fabric tape and generally made my son’s life miserable. The slats for this bed are taped but one side is Velcro and they stick to a Velcro ledge on the inside of the frame. It took me about an hour (because I asked my 10 year old to “help”) to put together and I’m very happy with the results. It came with a standard Allen wrench and also an Allen wrench ratchet to get in the very tight space where you secure the legs to the headboard. It was an easy build. It’s interesting guest room and my mom has been sleeping on it for a week without any issue. It has held up nicely and looked sturdy during construction. We tried to put a 5” box spring over the slats but that made the 10” mattress too tall on the frame- so the pure memory foam mattress is directly on top of the slats- again without issue.

I have owned a platform bed for many years now, and love the fact that they’re lower to the ground and you do not need a boxspring. However, the one that I use in my master bedroom, as well as the more common platform beds, Do not have enough slats to provide support for the mattress. I have had to go and purchase my own wood to support the bottom. Also, the price point is usually in the $400 range. This bed offers so much more at a fraction of the price. I wish I would’ve found it years ago as assembly is easy it’s comfortable to sleep on and no added materials are required for the perfect support. I like that it can hold a lot of weight and is extremely stylish And can be easily dusted and maintained with a dryer sheet. It’s an excellent value and I will be purchasing more for my additional guestroom.

I really like this bed frame. I needed a new one to replace one that used the wooden slats on a platform and it just felt like it never supported my mattress. Got this one set up and it’s like night and day. My mattress actually feels supportive and it makes me sleep so much better now that I’ve made the switch. I’ve been through a few bed frames over the years, and I can tell right away how sturdy one will be by looking closely at the materials. Poorly made bed frames will have thinner metal and wood, and if there is a headboard, the quality of the fabric says a lot. This one is pretty great. These types of bed frame aren’t all that hard to put together, and this was a breeze. The fabric doesn’t have that cheap, rough texture and the construction is solid. It fits my memory foam mattress perfectly, and the headboard is soft enough to lean against. Excellent!

I was skeptical that you could get a good bed for such a low price. Do it. I swear, it's nicer than it should be! Easy to assemble. You can use with a box spring, but it's no necessary and we found it looks better without it. Sturdy, the perfect height, love the gray, and everything you need is provided. We love it.
