I had to buy new bed rails because my bed I just bought squeaked so bad, I tried everything to stop it. So I bought these to replace the bed and attached to my headboard and no squeak!! It's sturdy and nice AND the middle foot peg is indented so yoy don't stub your toe making the bed!! That's a plus. Easily assembles. Perfectly fits box spring up to 84” wide. Frame has extra support that other similar models don't have making it more stable. Photo above is of a non-standard 82” boxspring which can still be supported by all the cross bracing.

    • Copper colored paint got all over my hands
I didn't feel comfortable not knowing what the copper colored paint was that got all over my hands while assembling these brackets. Maybe wear gloves when assembling.

Once I paid more attention to the directions, this frame went together well (LOL!) and it was easy to attch my headboard to it. I still have the traditionally higher box spring, so I ordered this shorter frame so I don't have a climb to get onto the mattress. I'm 5'6". If I decide I need the extra underb-bed storage, I can always use a set of risers, but I this is perfect for me. ... show more

    • Great for platform bed frames and slippery mattresses
This review is for clamps that attach to metal bedframes that keep the mattress in line with the frame, not a full bedframe. We have a bunch of low-to-the-ground steel platform bedframes in our home (to keep the oversized pups from trying to go underneath and getting stuck or injured) and one of the biggest issues is that while the headboards and footboards keep the mattresses from slipping off the frame's top or bottom, there's not much in terms of friction to keep from slipping off the left or right sides. To fix that we picked up a bunch of these, secured them to the frames and then put some foam padding over the top of these just to help reduce any potential finger or leg-pinching that might come from sitting on the edge of the bed where these are installed. So far, they've solved the problem completely and the only time we're even reminded they're there is when we go to replace the bedsheets and are tucking the fitted sheet between these and the mattress.
