I bought this to snorkel during a trip to Mexico and it worked perfectly. It breaks down into two pieces for easy packing and transport, and has a little bag to carry it in. I used it several times during my trip and it never once leaked or fogged up. The visibility was much greater with this mask compared to normal goggles. This mask was a great purchase for the price.

Mask assembly well thought out. You can breath either with your mouth or nose. Even though the mass covers your full face I had no issues with water leakage into the mask. I noticed I didn't need to have the mask super tight on my face to keep water out. Other people in my group who had the old style face mask has red marks on their forehead due to the tightness of the mask on their head - which I did not have. Also, since your full face is in the mask, there is no taste of salt water when in the ocean. I tried this by the shore and had no issues of ingesting water. When the snorkel got submerged, you simply can't breath in and what water does come in - which was very little, it is in the mask but doesn't affect viewing or breathing. I also had no issues with the mask steaming up and didn't need to add soapy water to the mask. There are concerns that one could be asphyxiated with the full face design, however I had no breathing issues and wore it for as long as 45 minutes in one case. I'd suggest trying in a pool or shallow water first. I did find you can put the mask on where you can't breath with your mouth. If you experience that, you don't have the mask on correctly. The unit came with spare gaskets. There are units that do allow one to attach a GoPro to the plastic assembly that snaps onto the snorkel portion of the assembly to record videos while snorkeling. For basically the same price. I had one of those masks as well and was also well thought out and came with basicallythe same accessories. I did find that you need to play with the tilt of the camera to assure you get the image you expect since you can't see what your recording. I suggest doing some dry runs if you buy that type of mask. Bottom line, I really liked it's operation and just hope the gasketing remains pliable over time.

Reviewing Full Face Snorkel Mask- I am a regular snorkeler. I live in the Rocky Mtn West, so we have clear lakes and streams. I snorkel in them in the summer and take a lot of tropical vacations and snorkeling is always top of the list. I have a nice traditional snorkel set (1/2 mask) that I use, and I love it, but I keep hearing people talk about the full masks and how they never fog up and they reduce mouth fatigue, so I thought I’d get one to try it out. Since it will be more of a novelty and I was pretty sure I wouldn’t switch from my half mask to a full mask, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on one, so when I saw this one come up on vine, I jumped on it. First off, it’s very comfortable. It doesn’t dig in like my half mask does. It’s not that I wear my half mask to tight because I don’t (if you wear a snorkel mask too tight, it will leak). It’s the silicone/rubber that is just not comfortable on skin that has hair (like your head and around your face). I have thick but fine hair and it’s always a pain with the snorkel mask. This full mask has a fabric strap and it’s like heaven compared to the silicone strap of a half mask. It’s easy to adjust and is comfortable to wear. It has a good viewing angle, but I can see the sides of the mask in my periphery. It’s just a small amount though. With a proper fit, it does not fog and I don’t need to clench down on a snorkel, so my jaw does get tired. The air in the mask is nice and fresh. It’s a dry snorkel, so if you go under water with it, you won’t breathe in water. The only concern I have is if any part of the air intake or valves break, you could potentially breath in your own carbon dioxide and not know it until it’s too late. That is an issue with all full-face masks though and is in no way unique to this one. Overall, I’m impressed with the build-quality of this mask and how well it works. The mask itself has great clarity and visibility and is very clear to look through. Breathing is effortless and the fit is comfortable.

I've been wanting to try a full-face snorkel mask since my last vacation. On my last couple of cruises, we have done some snorkeling, and having to use vendor supplied masks and mouthpieces is a hit or miss for fit and comfort. I seen a few cruisers had these masks and they were having a ball. I did try mine on...the fit was tight, yet comfortable. I could see that the viewing area of the mask was a lot larger than a regular mask. Not having an ocean, pool or lake near me at the time I got this I used the bathtub and tried it underwater. I worked pretty well, and breathing was easy and uncomplicated. I really had to concentrate while using a mouthpiece and mask, which did take away from the snorkeling experience because I was slightly stressed, I would try to use my nose to breath. LOL I will give this a real test on my next cruise (snorkeling 4 times) and update this review. For now, it seems an awesome product to try!
