My 13 year old cat isn't a fan of carriers or the move we took half way across the US. I didn't want plastic or metal carriers for size, storage, and comfort so I took a chance on this. She dug and dug and dug at the mesh in attempts to escape while I drove down random interstates or when I took her brother out for his litter box turn at random truck stops. The mesh shows some wear from her digging but it's thread fraying and no real structural damage. It's still tight and strong against her scratches when I had to take her to the vet. Ideally inshould have gone up a size but she had room to lay comfortably in a variety of positions, had room for snacks, i put a blanket in there, and the flaps were very helpful in blocking her vision from things that would make her angrier (like staring directly at her brother for 40hrs in a UHaul).

This carrier has covered sides so the cat feels less vulnerable in it. It is very well made and the outside pockets are very useful. I used this to get my cat across the country (two flights). I spent some time before the travel getting her accustomed to being in the carrier and had a blankie and favorite toy in there. I am really happy with this product (and I do not usually write reviews, let alone positive ones)!

awesome carrier, no need to keep looking. It's extremely well constructed and well thought out. Its' designed in a way that stays upright and you can still use the zippers. no more having to struggle with floppy soft sided carriers. and the best part is its great for anxious cats - its their own personal little cave
