I was nervous about getting a used camera but it turned out great! I absolutely love it. It even arrived 4 days early! The settings were a little funny (a lot of options were greyed out) but I haven't used a digital camera in almost 20 years so they've changed a lot. Was easily corrected at a local camera shop that luckily employed a long time Fujifilm user to help out. (I had gone to another shop but they couldn't figure it out so I assume they weren't super familiar with the brand). It's my first Fujifilm as well and I am in love with it! Owned many Leicas - have a Q now - great, but only one wide angle lens. This little camera (if you know the right optics: 16, 18, 35, 50 primes are all razor sharp - start with the 35 f1:4 (52mm equivalent), it's amazing) gives you more pixels for a fraction of the price, and the many cool process-in-camera options may at first seem daunting (remember: you can always shoot RAW and even iPhoto on the Mac knows the format), turned out to be great fun that inspired my creative imagination to look at my subjects differently - perhaps not how my eye sees them, but rather more how my mind and soul would like them to look. Just the right size (small, light, fits your hand), does everything right. My Leica Q looks at me from my desk daily and I do love it, but the Fujifilm with some extra lenses are what's in my shoulder bag when I head out the door. Check out the samples on the review websites - it's Leica quality for a fraction of the price. When I say quality, I include the build - it's solid as a rock. I normally shoot full frame SLRs and medium format film. But those are a pain to carry so i bought a X100 a few years ago. Fuji sensors and processing is great, so was durability, but no viewfinder and miserable AF. After a few years NEVER using the big cameras, i decided to upgrade to this. Massive, massive improvement. Sure 6x7 film remains the way to go for photoshoots, but this totally replaces my Nikon full frame. The difference is just too small to care for the Nikon, JPEG come out better, AF is now fast enough, it is tiny and light. Perfect travel companion. Minor down sides: face recognition can be hazardous, hard to hold with big hands, menu navigation a little odd. Other than that, if you want 99% of a SLR in a pocket format, go for it. ... show more

Same sensor and processor as the XT3, packed in a smaller form factor. This little camera is amazing! I own both the XT3 and XT30, this little one produces the identical result as the bigger brother, but smaller and lighter. The only noticeable difference is the 4K 60fps at higher bit rate, as an armature photographer 4k 30 fps and 1080 60fps is more than sufficient. ... show more

    • Great IQ hard to understand

I found the focusing to be a bit challenging only because I am not used to mirrorless cameras and electronic/mechanical shutters. Also,focusing would change from second by second. I could magnify my subject using the back dial but then it would not work on my next subject. I used a 35mm f2 lens and the images that did work out looked amazing. I sent it back but still feel a longing for those vintage style photos. I think I will purchase the xt20 with the 18-55 f2.8 kit ,which will give me the same IQ but a lens with more versatility at a price I can afford. I shoot mainly macro and flowers and this seems to be made for street pics. It definitely left a lasting impression on me and the black and white images are amazing. I actually miss it but I still feel it wasn't right for what I shoot but again, I will most likely have a Fuji in my arsenal because NOTHING compares to the Jpegs or even RAW files.
