I purchased this lens for IR photography. I have an XT-2. Not all lenses are suitable for this type of work. There's a f1.4 version of this lens. However, It's $1,000. The f1.4 version is rated excellent by Lifepixel for IR use. I didn't know how well the f2.8 lens would work because There's nothing on the Tube regarding IR. I took a chance. It paid off. All x-mount lenses are well made. This one is no exception. 16mm is 24mm in full frame. It's a great lens for walking around. I highly recommend this lens for landscape, architecture and especially infrared photography. ... show more

Was really hoping for great things with this lens and WOW!! It did not disappoint. Coming from the 18mm, this was a huge contrast. Faster focus in lower light, and appears to be a better quality in comparison to the 18mm. Very impressed, and the seller did ship quickly. Thanks again!
