  • ULTIMATE RESOLUTION, DEPENDABLE PROCESSING: Powered by Fujifilms high-performance X-Processor 4 quad-core CPU, GFX100S utilizes its 102MP, back-illuminated large format CMOS sensor to create truly stunning results. Create remarkably detailed still images that possess amazing color fidelity, and rich shadow detail, with enough dynamic range to allow for astonishing push and pull adjustments in post-production. Or, use Pixel Shift Multi-Shot to create ultra-high resolution 400MP stills with remarkable detail. In video mode, record 4K/30p footage in 10-bit F-log or 12-bit ProRes RAW, with an incredibly beautiful depth of field, for a look that is made for the silver-screen.
  • SMALL, BUT STEADY: Sitting at the heart of GFX100S is a newly developed shutter and In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) system that helps ensure you always make the most of the extreme resolution of the cameras 102MP imaging sensor. While reduced in size, compared to their counterparts in GFX100, both elements offer incredible performance, with the new shutter capable of 5fps continuous shooting and the unique, five-axis IBIS now working in conjunction with GF Lens Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to provide up to 6 stops of correction. With such outstanding performance, GFX100S frees you from a tripod and lets you keep creating even when the light is low.
  • THE SHARP END OF AF TECHNOLOGY: With an advanced phase detection autofocus (AF) system, GFX100S spearheads a whole new era of large format digital camera systems. An updated autofocus algorithm brings subjects into focus in as quickly as 0.18 sec, even in light levels as low as -5.5EV. This extraordinary performance is strengthened by the presence of phase detect autofocus pixels across nearly 100% of the frame, resulting in complete precision regardless of where the subject is. Combined with responsive tracking and reliable Face/Eye Detection, GFX100S lets large format photographers enjoy reliably accurate AF, even in low-contrast situations.
  • ICONIC COLOR MADE FOR YOU: Fujifilms expertise in color science is legendary among image makers. For more than 86 years, Fujifilm has been responsible for some of the worlds most iconic photographs and movies. GFX100S gives you access to this wealth of experience at the touch of a button, powered by one of the worlds most widely acclaimed digital color processing engines. With a choice of 19 exclusive FUJIFILM Film Simulation modes, it is easy to achieve fantastic color straight out of camera. With a new FIlm Simulation mode to explore - Nostalgic Neg. - it may just be worth it to spend a little more time here than you originally thought.

  • You won't find a better camera than this if you want ultimate image quality.
The GFX100S sells for about $5,500 on sale. The GFX 35-70 lens is $500. In comparison, the Hasselblad X2D 100C (same sensor as the Fuji) will cost around $8k and you'll pay $3,500 for a 37-75mm zoom lens. $6k vs $11.5. Fuji managed to make a world class medium format digital camera at a price point that is more affordable than Hasselblad, and priced in the ballpark of what you would expect to pay for a full frame flagship camera body. The camera's interface is straight forward however some time should be budgeted to learn how the menu system and dials work. This is the same with most camera systems - they're not exactly intuitive until you use them for a while, and then they make a lot of sense. With Fujifilm's film simulations baked in, this camera is sure to please. They're more than just color profiles - the simulations respond like film, there are options to simulate grain - and there are also options to modify colors to enhance saturation and contrast. However, without the grain, I wouldn't suggest they look vintage - instead they look like photographs. If you process RAW, then none of this makes any difference anyway - however - the camera produces a compelling .jpg. It is important to mention that the presets created by Capture 1 and Adobe to match the camera's simulations are "close, but no cigar" - they did the best they could to reproduce the film simulations but they're not 100% accurate. Interestingly enough, you can reprocess the RAW files directly on the camera - and Fuji offers a program that will do this while the camera is connected to the computer. In other words, the camera is the "engine" of the film simulations. Most reviews cover the same details about this camera. The AF is better than the. 50mp model, the IBIS is effective, the AF isn't as fast nor accurate as a flagship full frame camera - but the pictures look amazing and beg to be printed 16x20 or larger. This camera won't disappoint, unless you are looking for a camera that will reliably AF on birds, race cars and footballers - at which point, medium format probably wouldn't be useful for you anyway. ... show more

  • Amazing Functions, Amazing Images
I've shot medium format in the 80's. My last Film MF camera I sold in 2014. I've been shooting Fuji X since 2012. Now, I'm shooting with the X cameras, and the 50r and 100s. All I will say is I traveled over 13,000 miles through the Yukon, then Alaska from the Kenai all the way to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay. I came home with over 9000 raw files shot with the 100s, and then another 2000 or so with the 50r which is no slouch. The 100s performed FLAWLESSLY. Amazing image quality even handheld down to about 1/15th (my hands are not very sturdy) plus I was shooting, in July, at the Arctic Ocean in 33 degrees, snow and sleet. It's an incredible piece of equipment. Just fantastic. Not sure what else to add here but I do suggest you add a few extra batteries - I have four. ... show more

  • Warning: Horrible experience buying "like new" from Amazon Restore
I purchased this camera in "Used - Like New" condition from Amazon Restore (formerly Amazon Warehouse). It arrived in horrible condition (the 180 deg polar opposite of "Like New"). For starters, it didn't work at all. Neither of the screens worked. There was something wrong with it electronicaly. But even if it did work, there was a SCRATCH on the live view screen (even though the "like new" description said "no scratches.") And there was a FINGERPRINT on the sensor itself. Who touches the sensor of a digital camera!? Naturally, the camera was missing the body cap (which might explain the fingerprint on the sensor). And it was also missing the CHARGER. And again, it didn't work. Who in their right mind at Amazon Restore could possibly label this as "LIKE NEW?" This is the condition I would expect to find at a pawn shop where the staff don't know anything about cameras. I hope Amazon takes the time to identify the staff member who inspected this item and classified it as "like new" and put them on a PIP, because they've embarrassed the Amazon brand. ... show more

  • The Best Camera For Landscape
After many years of using Canon and Sony's FF cameras, this Fujifilm FGX 100S is my 1st medium-format camera which is absolutely the only one to bring out for my hiking and landscape photography tour. The most important features I like: 1) with extreme details of the picture, you can zoom in and zoom in, crop and crop with your computer, very flexible for your creative thinking. 2) fantastic dynamic range of colors and shades that no one of FF cameras can match. 3) a small yet strong camera body that is easy to carry daily. The only worrying issue I have is that the sensor is exposed to the air when you change the lens, so how to avoid dust is critical in the wild environment. ... show more

  • A camera with best image quality
Amazing camera! I made decision to sell all my sony a7III, nikon d500/d800 cameras and lenses to add extra gf lens. It is kind of slower. But once you get one in focus, the result is simply outstanding. The 50mm is pretty useable for street protos. But I need more practice to use 45mm for that purpose. ... show more

  • Big improvement compared to full frame
Even though it is a very borderline medium format, the quality and sharpness, as well as the dynamic level, are greatly improved compared to full frame cameras used before ( Leica q and EOS DSLRs) . Focus speed is one obvious drawback though. Don’t expect to use it for shooting any flying birds/ seagulls. ... show more

  • Photo quality
If you are wanting to take your photography to the next level with medium format, and you can afford it, get this camera. I have several full frame cameras and the Fuji GFX 100S medium format is my go to camera now.

  • Incredible resolution for working class photographers
I did not know how good it was. But now I know, and I am a new man. Full lens functionality with Canon Full frame lenses via Fringer adapter only. But the cheapest Fujinon lens is only 499 and it is incredible.
