We added thsi film to a set of patio doors that get direct, late afternoon sun. Once installed, they do provide both a reduction in sunlight and a semi-reflective look from outside. Cons: 1. The usual poor quality instructions that you expect with a Chinese product. As many others have said, be generous with the soapy water and it is defintely not a single person project. 2. The hard plastic squeegee is worthless - too rigid and too small. Fortunately, I already had a wider and softer one that made the job much easier. We tried both cutting to size before and trimming after installation - didn't see much benefit either way. Trimming after applying did.allow me to leave about a 1 mm gap between the edge of the film and the window frame to avoid cutting into the weatherstripping. I doubt we could have trimmed that accurately beforehand. Overall, a decent product once installed. ... show more

These are way darker than shown on the pictures. Also it was a bit difficult to install as they would get stuck together. I’ve installed film many times before and this wasn’t a good experience. I ended up removing it as I did not liked how it looked. It’s nice that it came with a little squeegee, bottle and razor. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a window film to darken my rooms, instead I found this. Plus I'm upstairs, I don't mind the heat. I just wanted to be able to see out my windows. I read the reviews, I was scared cuz I'm the ONLY person doing this. I'm seriously proud of myself over this 😊 I suppose 2 people would be ok, it's just me. So I HAVE no choice but to do it myself, I thought this through many times. Had this all figured out how I was gonna do it, till I put the film up against the window to see how it fit. To my surprise, it fit good & my plan would work. I ey the window down like I was suppose to, I peeled the clear plastic away & it stuck. ..... Like that's it, I had to peel it away(which is the HARDEST) part. Once I figured out how to do this, which.... Is easy, I was good. Wet down the window, till water is running down the window. Then carefully put the film on it, y'all don't need 2 people. There will be bubbles, don't worry bout them. Make sure it fits the way y'all want it to, then cut the film of the roll ....... Yes, I left mine in the roll to see how it fit. It worked great, my ONLY complaint is there isn't enough on that roll to do ALL my windows. I got 1 frame done, I had to order 5 more rolls for my other windows. That's ok, I'm gonna see this afternoon how good this stuff is. I'm out proud of myself for doing things that according to society "y'all need a guy in y'all life" no I don't. I can do this ALL by myself, I've been self sufficient since I was a kid. I'm 53, I did the exact opposite of what every review said to do. I'm not a perfectionist, I'm germophic. I will make sure no bubbles are left by the end of the day. I'm pretty happy with this, so far 😊 by the by, I live in Oklahoma where it's 110 out right now. So if this helps with keeping my upstairs unit cool & runs my air less (which is set to 80) then I'll be happy. UPDATE::::::::: I went through & fixed them so they don't over lap, it wasn't that bad. It took me a minute, but y'all can still do this even with 1 person. I'm no where near perfectionist, if y'all get the window wet enough (good luck on this, as y'all are spraying it's drying 🤦 it can be done. Maybe NOT in 110 heat) I got them done, I'll tape the corners down cuz that's what it is driving me crazy. Even on the 1s I didn't redo, that's ok. I'll tape them down, other then that...... The sun is on me yet I don't feel the heat, I like being able to see outside. I like that my air isn't running constantly. This was worth the price, I got it on sale plus click the 6% discount & it was only $9.99......a roll, that's not bad. I got 5 more rolls, so I have extra. I'm working on getting an ESA & service dog, I'll see next year how they handle this. If need be I'll UPDATE on that too. 😊 I will buy again if I need more ... show more

I put it on my front storm door which faces southwest and gets lots of North Carolina sun. I want ed to cut down the heat and sun beating down on my front door. The storm door has three glass panels so it took me several hours on each panel. Use plenty of soapy water and you will be happy with the end result. I’m hoping that this will do what I need to be done. Separating the paper backing was a bit of a challenge to get it started. Oh and I am only an 80 year old grandma. Now I will have to wait to see how long it lasts. ... show more

Cheaper than mirrors, reflective like mirrors, but won't break like one. Easy to bend and flex around corners - all the better to see yourself on any surface! Using the included tools managing and applying it is very doable even by yourself. Minimal stretching so repositioning it it is not a problem even after you tamp it down, only to find the edge gap getting wider as you approach the bottom. You'll need a bigger spray bottle than the one it comes with, though unless you're planning to do am inch at a time in between refills. I like that they include it though. Good kit and very reflective film. I need a few more rolls! The only thing I love more than mirrors is that hot bitch I see when I look in one. True story.! ... show more

The tint works, was what I wanted. But it’s nearly impossible to put on. It’s so stiff but folds on itself easy. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time putting it on the window because if you don’t it’s going to be filled with bubbles and creases. Took me about two hours to put 2 rolls of this film on the window and I still need to buy another one. Make sure you buy at least 3 of the big rolls to do an entire window. ... show more

I bought this for privacy on a bathroom window. It works great in the daylight. As soon as it's dark outside and the light is on in the bathroom, you can see the window blinds right through it. Easy enough to put on. I'm still searching for something to provide better privacy. Granted you have to be close to the window to see the silhouette, but the shower is right by the window. ... show more
