I mainly use this to straightened my hair. It gets pretty warm and is easy to use. I like that is he a brush because when I’m in a rush this comes in handy. I think the hot metallic piece is made of clay - which is like my old straighter I used to use before it broke. I like the clay ones because I find that it damages my hair less than some other metal. I have always had super straight hair...but lately seems like it gets kinks in it!...I Like it straight so I thought I would give this a try!...takes one or 2 strokes and it's smooth & straight...Most I looked at were expensive!...This is a great product!!....I recommend it!...Just a word of CAUTION...start low temperature and go up as needed...It gets VERY hot VERY quickly!!...I set it at 160 and it plenty hot enough!...You don't want to have it to hot or it will burn your hair and fingers!! ... show more

This thing sucked. The outside got hot but the plates didn't. The temperature doesn't go very high.

It’s cheap. It looks pretty. It doesn’t heat up as hot as it advertises and it doesn’t smooth very well. I’ve used it twice and went back to my old one. I wouldn’t recommend it.
