Description

FritzZyme 7 contains specific strains of live nitrifying bacteria proven to reduce fish loss due to toxic levels of ammonia and nitrite. Nitrifying bacteria can take weeks to naturally establish colonies in new aquariums while ammonia and nitrite can reach lethal levels in only a few days. FritzZyme 7 provides the proper balance of bacteria proven to rapidly seed biofilters, greatly reducing the natural cycle time allowing for safe, immediate addition of livestock. Fritz Industries was the first company to pioneer commercial- scale cultivation of nitrifying bacteria and has remained one of only a few in the world with continuous production for over 30 years. FritzZyme 7 may be added to new tanks or established systems any time the biofilter needs fortification including: after water changes, aggressive cleaning, adding new livestock, medicating or changing filter media. I recommend reading the website FAQs on this product. I ordered this in summer, got it next day, bottle smelled like death! They did replace it the next day. However on the site a smell earthy or stinky does not matter. I added it to tank and water does not stink, change water color, or harm fish! Important to know that product should be used with a simple chlorine and chloramine remover/water conditioner NOT a ammonia remover. Product should also NOT be used with a growing plant light or UV sterilizer above 20 Watts as this will begin to kill the bacteria in the water. Simply turn your light at an angle for the next 5 days. Use only when you are testing for high total ammonia or Nitrites. This is the fastest and most recommended product on most fish keeping sights and don’t let the smell put you off. Company will send you a new one however if you do not trust it. ... show more

    • Helped To Cycle My New Tank More Quickly

I replaced the substrate and planted in my established aquarium. I've owned fish for over 30 years and always just let the tank sit for about 2 weeks and cycle naturally before adding the fish back. I decided to try this product to speed up the process so that I could my fish back from their small holding tank back to the main tank as soon as possible. I was a little hesitant adding it as the solution smells terrible, but it is live bacteria! I checked the ammonia and nitrites after a few days and they seems almost where they should be, so I added the fish back. I tried API and microbelift nite out II and after a month of trying to cycle a tank, I tried this product. My tank cycled in 2 days. I could not get my nitrites down for weeks and this product did it almost overnight. Don’t look any further. This product works!

The fish in the tank are still alive. This is great for new tanks. I learned the hard way that you need the right bacteria for fish to survive in a new tank. The kids are happy i’m happy.

This is supposed to be the best. It is highly recommended by several axolotl groups. I haven’t had the chance to use it but when I do I will update.

Moved across country and needed to get a cycle going quickly to get the fish up and running again. Researched it and found this product. Decided to try it. It was amazing. Came exactly when it was supposed to. In the winter in freezing temps. Comes in a small box. I opened it. Kind of smelled and had that gunky bottom of the aquarium sort of look. I could see it when i measured it and poured it in. Within days my cycle had be started still had to add prime, but ammonia, nitrites went down quickly. Within a week the cycle was going and everything had started up. I used it as it said to the first couple of weeks, but didn't really need it after that. Kept it around for mini crashes, or for just a bit boost. Always worked. Would recommend over and over. ... show more
