UPDATE: We've had this ac for a month. It does all I have said. It really keeps our home comfortable. It's still well. It was easy to install. Functionality? Let me tell you about this ac. with heat. The unit delivers cold as ice air when you want it. It can be set to whatever temp you desire and it doesn't fail you. Our home stays comfortable. Not too cold or too hot. Just right. If needed, it can be set to another temp. Doesn't make a lot of noise. Cuts off automatically at the set temp. We are Loving this ac. The air flows nicely across the room. This is a Beast of an ac. Did I say it's nice to feel comfortable and not too cold or too hot. I guess I did :D We bought the 23,500 btu unit. You have to try this product. You won't regret it. Remote works good too. We tried the heat and the cool air. They both work great. Thank you for such a great product and working to making it easier to pay for.     • EXCELLENT Large Wall/Window Unit with Heat!
So far this unit has worked well. The heat pump is amazing and works super well as does the a/c cooling aspect. It replaced a 30 year old 220V unit which finally failed - hoping this 230V unit lasts me 20 years! Shipping was the only issue - the carrier must have dropped it once and it cracked the outer housing and dented it up. Internals seem unharmed and working great so far. Amazon issued a partial refund for the damaged - courier otherwise was less than ideal when it finally arrived. Great value for a wall or window install solution! ... show more

    • I'm Chillin with 6000 BTU!
I bought another cheaper 5000 BTU competitor elsewhere, but it was not cooling out of the box and thru Prime Day this unit was the same price. Who wants a week redelivery when Amazon did it in 2 days during a heatwave? Three speeds and a digital temperature setting with a handful of other features makes this a better A/C. There is also a remote. It's usual price is $50 more than the 5000 BTU model. Usually I am called cheap, but getting the 6000 BTU model is worth it rather than saving $50. This is not an Energy Star unit, but its digital temperature thermostat allows me to not get cold. I discovered that having it above 75F is quite comfortable and the compressor rarely operates. It does have an Eco Mode and a Sleep Mode to save electricity compared to a 5000 BTU model. I am on the 3rd floor with a small refrigerator and camping fridge/freezer in my room, so having the 6000 BTU gives me confidence in extreme hot weather. Here's a couple more things. A light turns on to remind you to change the filter. It can get blocked after a year of use. Don't forget to change the fan speed to fast during extreme hot days. Someone might complain and say that it is loud, but actually if my room door is closed it is not heard from the outside. ... show more

    • Works Great as advertised
We have a large old house with an open downstairs layout. For years, we have had one large room air conditioner and then used large fans to pull the air to other parts of the downstairs, but this never cooled off the kitchen which is 2 large rooms away. So when Prime Days came around, we took advantage of a great deal to purchase this quality product and put it in the window nearest to the other parts of the downstairs. This was a particularly scorching summer at times and our old methods weren't cooling off the downstairs well enough during those extreme heat warning stints. This air conditioner is ridiculously easy to set up (actually made me realize how I put the one in my bedroom together incorrectly, without looking at the directions) and wasn't too heavy to lift up to put into a 6-foot high kitchen window--even for this person with a bad back. The unit fits 95% perfectly into the window and the old, uneven windows of our 140-year-old home likely are to blame for that. The noise is truly minimal for what it does. And the remote control is very simple and easy for my senior mother to use, instead of having to use the buttons on the unit. I love that it is eco friendly and that it won't use expensive energy when we don't need it. Lastly, I will say that I am sure it will work beyond great if you use it for just one closed-off room. However, people like us who need to cool off more than that area, I can say that it does cool strong enough that you can use a fan to pull the air to another room. Since adding this conditioner to the kitchen, the downstairs has been overall very pleasant despite the latest extreme heat stint. And I'm not overly concerned about the next electric bill as I know it helped use other forms of cooling less overall. We purchased this under a great deal but I would say it is well worth the expense and future savings for you to buy it at full price! ... show more
