I bought the 2x50 Matte Black. I was hesitant to purchase as there are so many factors to think about: will it stick, will it wrinkle, will it bubble, will it tear, etc.? It was easy to install after the first application and tear off to redo. You have to get a feel for using it. Once you play with pulling it a bit and peeling off a bit to adjust, it becomes very simple. The hardest part was the curve around the back side window. If the strip was wider than 2 inches, it would’ve been great, but hey it came out better than expected. I used my hands to push down as the felt tool they provided seems to scratch the top layer of the tape a bit. I used a credit card to tuck the strip behind the trim. I would say a heat gun isn’t necessary. Just take your time and work the tape as much as you can around the curves. Not much give to the matte vinyl but maybe there is more give in the glossy? All I know is it did exactly what I wanted it to do and I’m very happy. Total project took about 4 hours. Highly recommend! ... show more

Want to start off by saying YOU GET NO DIRECTIONS!! I’ve done quite a few vinyl wrapping jobs much harder than this. Normally HEAT is your friend NOT WITH THIS!! In the description it even says “Stretchable with heat conform to contours easily” THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE!!! I used a tiny tiny bit a heat and it completely bubbles and burned. I was amazed at the fact it bubbles that fast when I tried to stretch it a little. It is easy to work with but if you do purchase DO NOT USE HEAT!! I thought it was user error I put to much heat.... This is a low quality vinyl. Created a lot of air bubbles, has low adherence and is already starting to lift corners after only a day of being applied. This material is less like vinyl wrap and more like black film. Would not recommend.

The wrap matched my new black gloss grill perfect. Don't waste your time with the blade it comes with, it's junk. Buy an exacto knife or a pack of blades if you don't have any. The squeegee tool wasn't terrible, but you should also get a true flat tool to help you tuck the tape back.

Just spent 20 min installing some of this on a BMW E90. It is easy to install, like anything take your time. It was easier doing it in the sun as it makes the film more stretchable and easy to manipulate. It ended up getting to hot causing some adhesion issues. I would like to do this in the shade with a hair drier, however apartment living does not afford this where I am. Works well and looks much better then the chrome. Awesome and cheap. ... show more

Should have gotten 3M. this stuff is so brittle I was cutting it with my finger nail. no give what’s so ever I couldn’t form it around the front window trim at all, ended up with wrinkles 👎
