    • Exotic Nutrition Borneo Small Animal Cage: Bent Panels and Frustration

I recently purchased the Exotic Nutrition Borneo Small Animal Cage, hoping to provide a spacious and comfortable home for my small animals. Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. My biggest gripe, and a significant one, is the condition of the panels upon arrival. Several of them were bent, making assembly a frustrating and challenging process. It's difficult to determine whether this damage occurred at the factory or during shipping, but regardless, it's unacceptable. This issue alone significantly impacted my satisfaction with the product. Adding to the frustration was the complete absence of assembly instructions. I was left to figure out the setup on my own, which was particularly difficult with the bent panels. This lack of guidance was incredibly disappointing. If the panels hadn't arrived bent, I would likely consider this a decent quality cage. The materials and overall construction seem sturdy enough. However, the damage forced me to compromise, and I ultimately decided to keep the cage because returning it would have been too costly and cumbersome. Regarding the size, even though it’s marketed as a small animal cage, I found it to be somewhat cramped. I would strongly recommend purchasing the add-on kit to provide your pets with more room. In hindsight, I regret not purchasing this cage from a company that offers free returns. Had I known the panels would arrive damaged, I would have certainly returned it. Pros (if undamaged): * Potentially sturdy materials and construction. * Add-on kit available for increased space. Cons: * Bent panels upon arrival. * No assembly instructions included. * Somewhat small size (requires add-on). * Return process is expensive. Overall: I cannot recommend this cage due to the damaged panels and lack of instructions. If you decide to purchase it, do so at your own risk and only through a company with a free return policy. ... show more

Easy to put together. I love the size nice and big. I put my two small ferrets in it. Their feet sometimes fall through the very bottom because the wires are a bit spread apart only on the bottom but they learned how to walk on it. I love this cage reminds me of a professional pet store cage.

I love this cage but it is not perfect. The directions are horrible! I took it apart a couple of times until I was able to figure it out. But once built it is a really nice large cage especially with the add one. Im using it for a pair of young toucanets. I love the side doors and how they latch in. I wish all cages had these doors. Things that can approve the design. 1.The front door latches should line up netter. They work but small missalignment can be seen. 2. The extension kit, should not have a door. 3 front doors are just too many. Im thinking of adding another expansion or 2 , but then I would have 2 more front doors. Over all, I do love this cage. I just wish the expansion cages would be solid instead of doors. ... show more
