Description

VViViD Vinyl is designed for DIY’ers, offering premium wraps with industrial-grade durability and effortless installation. Whether you're customizing your vehicle or working on a professional project, VViViD provides the perfect balance of quality, flexibility, and ease of use. We've been in the vinyl wrapping game for over 10 years, trusted by millions of customers and showcased in world-class car shows. Our user-friendly vinyl wraps are easy to install and come with 500+ hours of video tutorials to help you get started. So why wait? Choose VViViD for your next vinyl wrapping project and experience the perfect combination of quality, affordability, and innovation! Post-heating is a crucial step in vinyl wrap installation that ensures a strong bond, smooth finish, and long-term durability. It activates the adhesive, enhances conformability, minimizes wrinkles, and prevents lifting over time. Heat-setting also reinforces the vinyl’s shape memory, reducing distortion and improving resistance to temperature changes. Forgetting this step risks premature wear and poor adhesion, making post-heating essential for a professional, long-lasting wrap. Post-heating is critical to preventing edge lifting. When vinyl is stretched beyond the edge of a surface, such as a hood, it will attempt to contract back due to its memory. This causes the adhesive to weaken, and the vinyl may pull away from the edge. Skipping post-heating accelerates this process, leading to premature edge lifting. Proper heating ensures the vinyl stays securely bonded, preventing the edges from lifting over time. These are CKWraps' must have tools to smoothly install vinyl wrap. VViViD has all the tools you will need to start your next vinyl project. Prepare your vehicle for a flawless vinyl wrap installation with CK Wraps. The preparation you do beforehand is just as important as the installation itself. Proper prep ensures a smooth application, long-lasting results, and a finish you’ll be proud to show off every time. Always install your vinyl lengthwise to achieve a clean, uniform finish. Most vinyl films are directional — especially matte, satin, and textured finishes — meaning the way they’re positioned affects how they reflect light. Proper alignment ensures a seamless, professional look every time. Hybrid plastisol coating creates a self-healing surface, protecting against swirls, abrasions, and scratches. Heat gun removes most damage. Our solvent-based acrylic adhesive cures in 40-ft evaporation tunnels, ensuring it won’t damage paint and allows repositioning without harm. VViViD’s air-channels vanish over time, ensuring a strong bond that won’t lift, peel, or allow contaminants and moisture to seep in. Advanced UV absorbers and light stabilizers protect against fading, cracking, and sun damage, with new improvements every quarter. How to know what size of vinyl do I need for my project? Measure the longest points of your project, keeping in mind VViViD vinyl is always 5ft wide. Use a sizing chart for reference, buy a little more extra vinyl for errors, and use seams for large surfaces if needed. Can my vinyl wrap survive the winter? Yes! Your vinyl wrap can survive winter with proper care. Use a ceramic coating like FUSE for protection, wash regularly with a vinyl-safe soap, avoid scrapers, and don’t use hot water or high-pressure washers. Park in a garage when possible. What tools do I need to wrap my car? You'll need a heat gun to stretch and set the vinyl, a knife for precise cuts, a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles, buffers for the squeegee edges to prevent scratches, and a tucking tool for clean edges and tight spaces. Why VViViD vinyl wraps are better than paint? At VViViD Vinyl, our wraps are more affordable than paint, fully reversible, and protect your car’s original finish. Unlike paint, wraps resist chips, UV damage, and scratches. Plus, they install faster and offer endless design possibilities! Does this vinyl wrap require a heat gun for installation? Yes, you will need a heat gun as the vinyl's adhesive is heat activated. Heat softens the vinyl which makes it more pliable and stretchable, making it a lot either install. Post heating also contributes to the long term durability of the vinyl wrap.

  • Awesome wrap in the sun
Color: Gloss Size: 100ft x 5ft
I did a full body wrap on my dodge challenger in this color, and the color shift is amazing. It is very hard to tell what the color of the car is at any given time when the sun is out, however when it is not sunny it just looks black. Originally I loved that about it but now I am getting a little bored of it. But don’t let that steer you away from this wrap if you live in an area that gets tons of sun. I live in the northeast and sun is a luxury we get only 3-5 months out of the year, thus I am going to re-wrap my car in a new color, probably ultra gloss candy apple red. That being said vivid is a great company and the adhesion is great on this I’m not sure what other reviewers were mentioning but prep the surface well and it sticks that all that matters. Other then that it’s durable and the suggested life is around 5 years according to vivid, mine has been on for around a year now and everything is still perfect. I do recommend a vinyl specific ceramic coating to go on top to increase your lifespan. But regardless it’s a very good wrap and if it can wrap the corners which are a 9/10 difficulty on a challenger bumper then it can handle pretty much any other car. Highly recommend vivid, they make great vinyl ... show more

  • Great company, Great customer service!
Color: Matte Size: 3ft x 5ft
Update: So after leaving my original 1 star review Vivid reached out to me asking for more details, they think it was may be a picking mistake. Regardless of the issue they offered to replace it or refund it. No BS, just how can we make it right? This is a company that makes quality products and stands behind it. I miss the days when this was normal. But since I already love their product and now I know I can trust that if it's not right they will fix it, I have no problem recommending them and giving them 5 stars. Original review: The color change is only on the adhesive side. I love Vivid vynal wrap and used to use it all the time. I bought this to repair a table top. I was hoping it would have a touch of red or burgundy to go with the rooms black and burgundy decor. I noticed it was only black when I was inspecting the roll, but I was hoping maybe once I got it open and stretched it would look right. Then as I was stretching it over the table I noticed the adhesive side looked awesome. So I kept going thinking maybe it would show through once it was on and I looked at different angles. Nope, nothing but black at all angles and all lighting. Not sure if it's a manufacturing error or design error. But it's crap. should have just got a textured black or something. It's already cut and stretched so I can't return it. ... show more

  • Get a more realistic photo - the color is off!
Color: Gloss Size: 1/2ft x 5ft
Picture looks like the tape is a dark burgundy metallic. It isn't. It's BLACK. I guess it's shame on me for believing the picture instead of the description

  • What are the odds...
Color: Gloss Size: 3ft x 5ft
My mind is officially blown with this vinyl. I mean, what are the odds that I buy a glossy demon black only to discover that it is a splitting image of the actual paint color of my car. I can't believe it! Basically this color is if you have a maroon color that you spray a light layer of black on top of it and finish it off with a clear coat, badda-bing-badda-boom, you have yourselves a glossy demon black. As you can see in my picture; the hatchback is wrapped in the vinyl and the other body parts are of the actual paint color. See, not much of a difference is there? The second picture is a side-by-side comparison. I bought this because of the picture they had attached to this specific vinyl and how those pictures came out like that, I have no idea, because that is nothing even remotely close to what it is. Because of that, I had to remove 1 star. Outside of that, it's a pretty decent vinyl to work with. This was my first time doing a vinyl wrap and thanks to the hours of YouTube videos, it only took me around 2 hours to do the hatchback. Another reviewer stated that you should use Rapid Tac with this vinyl so I bought some only to read directly from Vvivid, that you do not need it. I did not use it and it worked out perfectly just as Vvivid claimed. Take what other reviews say with a grain of salt - myself included. All-in-all, this was a great vinyl to work with for a first timer and I highly recommend this product! If you like to keep people guessing as to what color your car is, go with the glossy demon black. I've heard the colors black, black cherry, purple and brown. **Update: 24 MAY 2026** This vinyl has held up over the years. I have no garage or carport, so this vinyl has endured all the elements that nature has thrown at it and it still looks exactly like the day I installed it. Amazing! Unfortunately, due to lack of funds and time, I will be removing it and opting for a rattle can paint job. I'm curious what (if any) residue will be left behind from it being on the hatchback all this time. As soon as I complete that task, I will be back to leave an update as to just what exactly the original paint job looks like from the vinyl adhesion. **Update: 2 AUG 2026** I finally got the vinyl removed and it was not as easy as I thought it would be. On my first attempt, I tried to just rip it off but all it did was come off in little pieces which would have taken an eternity to remove as it was extremely brittle. So I pulled out the heat gun and tried it that way with much better results. It was still a pain in the buttowski to get it off, but still much, much easier than without the heat. Unfortunately, in some areas, the vinyl left behind some sticky residue dots. Being that I was sanding the car down in preparation for the rattle can paint job, I was not concerned about it. However, if I weren't painting my car, I would have been very frustrated trying to get those sticky spots removed. After this scenario, I can longer in good conscience highly recommend this product. It's a pain putting it on and taking off. Now if you never plan on removing it, then by all means use it, but if it's a temporary deal, I say avoid it. Painting is a much easier way to go about it. The prep to paint is time consuming but so much better in the long run versus using vinyl. In the end, in my honest opinion, I will never use vinyl wrap ever again. ... show more

  • This color absolutely DOES shift color !!!
Whoever buys this and says it DOES NOT SHIFT COLOR AT ALL, go back to bed. It absolutely shifts with the right parts of the day. Yes there are some glue lines BUT the color itself is worth the purchase. Exactly what I was looking for when I switched from matte metallic black.
