This is for confinement, not protection! The mesh is cut with household scissors. This was put up by one person, it wasn’t difficult. I’m using it as a prison for mean girls right now. I plan on putting them all in to keep them safe from hawks. But it’s a vicious jail-yard type setting and my girls aren’t liking it. I got this pen to enclose a few coops for extra security for night time predators. It was very easy to put together and is sturdy (extra securement of hardwire (purchased separately)under all edges 2 feet out staked with landscape staples and cinder block lining the outer edge). The only thing that kept it from getting 5 stars is the hardwire mesh that was included. It is not the grade I would have picked. While it is better than chicken wire, it is not as heavy duty as what I purchased separately. Would recommend using a heavier hardwire or reinforcing what was included ... show more

Package arrived in 2 days instead of the week or more listed on shipping. That was great, but it arrived missing 1 side pole and 5 support poles. Contacted seller through Amazon and will update as info is available. The structure itself seems to be well built and sturdy. Can’t finish the assembly until the 6 poles arrive, but made it fairly far along and it does appear to be well built and able to stand up to wind/storms. Update- received a response quickly and was informed the missing parts would be shipped Missing parts arrived in about a week from the day I first contacted seller. Very happy with the sturdiness of the coop. Will need to add some shade cloth to the back and sides to give some weather/rain/ heat protection. I really liked the frame! We finished putting the wire on today. I’m not sure the wire would keep out a coyote or dog but I don’t think small animals like raccoons could get in. We are going to reinforce it with another wire on the bottom of the fencing. Overall, for the price, it is worth it with a few modifications of our own. I’m fairly pleased with it! ... show more

    • Nice takes a while to put together

Frame goes up quick, netting all needs cut to size and will take a few hours with a friend to be able to zip tie everything. Instructions say to do stuff in the wrong order, do all framing and braces, then add fencing. Not as green as it looks in the pictures.

Packages came in, one with torn end flap. One of the frame pieces was missing. Used the Amazon "Problem With Order" button to contact seller. Noted the specific piece and requested replacement. Approximately 4 days later the correct replacement piece arrived. Also of note, this transaction occurred over Easter weekend. I thought it might get lost in the shuffle, but made it through. The Chicken run is now complete and is a very nice addition to the yard. Frame took less than an hour to assemble with two people handling things. Wrapping the hardware cloth is somewhat more involved, but still pretty simple with two. Can be done by one person, but I would expect some muttering and an expletive or two during construction. ... show more
