Material feels nice, the front laces got in the way. the size chart seems to be the final result and not your unsupported measurements. I'm 45.5" bust and 42" waist, the exact 5xl measurements. I expected it to lace tighter, but that was it's smallest size. It was pretty loose, even laced as tight as possible. trying 4 and 3 xl to see which fits best. Suggest estimating how much squeeze you want and can tolerate and size down accordingly. EDIT: I ended up being a 3xl with a 37" waist when laced. Bust measurements didn't change, left V in back lacing to accommodate bust which is the proper method. ... show more

Runs really small and fits weird. I bought a 7x when I’m usually a 2-3x. I’m 5’6 and 290lbs with DDD’s for reference. I think it fits weird because the boning is made out of cheap materials so it bends a when you cinch in the corset and it doesn’t help the problem if you have a lot of cleavage. As far as fit around the body it works but you’ll have to loosen it a pretty good bit to get it on and then cinch it in because the sizing runs so small and I had to loosen it so much the fabric that goes underneath the ribbon is too small to cover my back which isn’t a problem if you aren’t self conscious about that. Be ready to size up 2-3 more sizes than your normal size! XL is normally baggy on me for almost all clothes and here, I got a 2 XL (just to size up for safety) and it did NOT FIT HALF MY BODY! I would need a 5X to barely fit in these! Buyer beware!

Update 6/12/17: I bought a second! I bought the ivory one and it is STUNNING. Those that are complaining that it's too small aren't thoroughly reading reviews. I'm normally a medium/large. I got an XL in the ivory and it JUST fit and the 2XL in black is sometimes too big. My sister-in-law, who is a Large said the 2XL that I let her borrow fit nicely. Do your research via reviews before purchasing, people. It's not this company's fault. October 2016: The reviews are all true!!! Shocking, I know. This corset is a RARE find on a site filled with falsities. I received it the exact day I was informed I would and everything is perfect. Being overly excited, I flopped backwards onto my bed in attempts to follow others' instructions (it's easiest to put it on lying down). But, oddly, I found it fit strange! And then I began to laugh at myself. I'd put the corset on upside down in my excitement. Meanwhile, my fiance was downstairs, calling "Can I come up NOOOOW?!" like a child asking if they could open their presents yet on Christmas morning. Finally, I managed to get it on. My only problem is that, while I order a XXL (2XL) like sizing says and the comments said, I should've only ordered an XL. I'll know this for next time. Also-the g-string was swiftly placed in the trash as it was HUGE on me. In case anyone my size needs assistance in figuring out what to order, here is my sizing: 32/34 C/D (depends on the bra company), size Medium in shirts, size 10 in dresses. This piece is lovely! As stated in other reviews it is really well built. It does fit a bit small, but it's a corset! It has lacing in the back to let out, which works wonderfully. NOTE: The back leasing has a panel that can flip over. So either the lacing can show your skin through it, or there can be a flap of fabric. This extra fabric is not very big, just about 6 inches. If you want the fabric to cover over then I highly recommend getting a slightly larger size than you think you need. If you want your skin to show through, get the size you think you should. As also stated another review the first time you put it on you'll need some extra time. The fasteners in the front are a bit tricky. And when I say 'a bit' I mean rather, since there is a bone in peace directly under them so no give while you're trying to get them fastened. When one goes on if feels like two more come back off again. But it just takes a time or two to get used to. But, leave yourself room with the lacing in the back, do the fasteners in the front, then pull the back tight. Works like a charm. I highly recommend this corset! It is absolutely beautiful. The front fasteners are a bit industrial if you're looking for a costume/vintage piece, but this is beautifully made. (So great for cosplay/steam punk, inaccurate for historical, wonderful for fantasy!) If I am looking for other corsets I will absolutely look at this groups other selection. NOTE- I was originally sent the wrong piece. And by wrong piece I mean skirt type thing that had absolutely nothing to do with corsets, not like they sent me the wrong course it. The exchange was Apsley no problem, I just wanted to note that this did happen so leave yourself a bit of time if ordering. ENJOY!!!! ... show more
