I started with a medium. Undid it all the way and still couldn't squeeze myself into it. Sized up to a large and can just barely fit. I measured myself before buying so I'm wondering if maybe it just runs super small? It does look rather nice though and will fit my steampunk librarian theme! The torso part of the corset was flattering, comfortable, easy to put on (well as easy as corsets get). The back length was just right and comfortable. I was between 2 sizes and got the bigger of the two, which alowed for a perfect waist sizeing. I had no problems with that part. It might have been because i was between sizes (m&L) that the shoulder straps dont fit propely, but as i got it specifically for the shoulder straps to help with my posture it does make giving a review difficult. I was pleased to buy the 3X at a lower price than other sizes, even though my size for this brand of corset is usually between XL and 2X (I'm typically M/L in shirts). Therefore, I expected the 3x to be big, and while the actual corset is about the size I thought it would be, the coordinating vest is slightly small, and it's difficult to get on or off. However, there are many positive aspects: all the accessories are removable--the vest, the "belt" piece that goes through the loops in the neck of the vest, the pouch belt and another leather strap. It's great having all that additional leather and hardware to really get a layered, busy steampunk look. But if you didn't want to wear the extra stuff and preferred a more streamlined look, you could definitely do that. Also, the actual corset seems well made, it feels sturdy and supportive and I love the side zipper that makes getting in an out of it much easier. However, the biggest disappointment has to be the exposed seams on the leatherette, because the inside of the leather material is a light/white plastic, so it's noticeable and doesn't look at all like real leather. Unlike the intentional exposed seams on some clothing, these are clearly mistakes, and they cheapen the entire look. I believe another reviewer has close-ups of what I'm referring to. For the item I received, it's the case with nearly every seam that uses the leather material. The faux leather also wrinkles easily. I had to remove a star for the odd too big/too small fit disparity between the corset and vest, plus the ugly exposed edges on the leatherette details. However, I would still recommend this corset due to the price, the actual corset's sturdiness, the number of of pieces included, and the fact that you can customize your look by wearing none, some, or all of the accessories. ... show more

I ordered the underbust version,normally I wear a size 18 in shirt so I ordered the 5xl and it's about 2 sizes too small...I dont even think the 6x would fit without changing the string in the back to something about twice as long as the one provided.
