I was greatly disappointed in the quality for $100. The mat is very thin and wont lay flat even after having it under a large area rug for a day. The plastic provided broke just putting it together.

Good: -Easy to set up, about 5-10 minutes. -Fun game for all ages. -Nice miniature golf variation. Bad: -Fabric is wrinkled and not smooth. -The stripes ball markings are not clear when playing. -The ball rack was slightly oversized. I ordered the Franklin Sports Billiards Golf Indoor game. I like that all assembly parts are marked and it includes step by step instructions for set up and play. The game is fun to play, but because the fabric is wrinkled, the ball does not roll smoothly. The putters are heavier than expected, with a top heavy design. Most of the parts are plastic. The velcro works great at adhering to the felt mat, keeping everything in its place. Overall, I was looking for an indoor game for the holidays. This game will work for that purpose, but I will need to replace the felt or try to find a way to remove some of the wrinkles in the fabric. ... show more

We've been puttering around with this Franklin Billiards gold for a month and here are the thoughts so far: What we like: ++Playing this actual game of 'BilliGolf". We like billiards (pool) and mini golf as standalones...so this combo is a fun twist. If (if) this set is laid out hot and ready, some kid will inevitably walk by and like a pavlovian response stop and putt. And it's fun to play 1/1 pool rules style. The #1 thing would be fun and replayability so this is a good +++. ++The golf balls. I like the pool ball patterns on the golf balls. ++Franklin Brand - typically good experiences. What could be better: --The build quality / materials. Everything is a bit cheap and flimsy for the current ~$91 pricepoint. The felt floor is kind of thin and wrinkly. The plastic bumpers need to be clipped together and are flimsy and come loose. The golf clubs are toy plastic and don't putt real golf balls that well (I switched out to a real putter). --The plastic pockets aren't big enough. The pockets get stuffed quickly with too many balls (we just take a few out manually). --Bulky to store. When it comes time to put away everything kind of goes back in the original skinny long cardboard box - ie, bulky to store (does anyone have any storage room left?). Ideally if you have a playroom this is the kind of thing that could be layed out and ready to putt. Overall, this is a fun unique game to play so that is good and different. But at current pricepoint I think the rating is 3/5 Stars in consideration of price/value. ie, either up the quality, or drop the price. ... show more

Franklin Sports Billiards Golf - Combining Billiards & Golf - Perfect for Kids and Families - Indoor Mini Golf Game We have a number of Franklin's outdoor games and are always pleased with them. This golf pool set is no exception. It is incredibly easy to assemble. The outdoor fabric of the table/green is a thick felt. The bumpers and pockets are molded plastic that slot together easily and sturdily. The frame has velcro on the bottom, to easily and securely attach to the felt. It allows you to pull the fabric as tight as you want - and means that, as the felt ages and softens, you can still make sure you get a perfecctly flat surface every time. The golf clubs are plastic and very lightweight, but you could use any putter you have on hand also (there are only 2 clubs, in keeping with the pool theme). The golf balls are colorful and fun. The "stripes" are white balls with hash marks of various colors on them - I'm not sure why they didn't just put a single round stripe on, ala standard pool, as the hash marks are only on 2 "sides" of the ball and can be difficult to see in the bright sun or depending on positioning. Unlike most of the Franklin games we have so far, this one did not come with a canvas carrying case/storage bag, which is odd, but not that big a deal. It's a fun addition to our outdoor game collection and a novel way to bring pool outside and golf to small spaces! ... show more

Whoever thought you could mix pool with putt putt. My grandson was having his fourth birthday party at our house. And we were looking for some games. We saw this one and said why not. Of all of the games this one was the biggest hit. They played with a lot of the other games but they kept going back to this one. Keep in mind only God knows what rules they came up with because they were not the rules for the game. But that didn't matter and gave them hours of fun. On the practical side it goes together very quickly and breaks down to the point where you could keep it in a grocery bag. I'm sure will be getting years of use out of this. ... show more
