This net doesn’t snag hooks so I get to fish more and cut hooks out less. It keeps that frustration out of the boat. It is also better for the fish as the rubber does not scratch the slime off like a regular nylon net does. Wish it would have invested in this net years ago.

Perfect net for anything smaller than pike or muskie. We put quite a few bass and pickerel in it this year and worked exactly like we hoped it would. Nice and light for my 7yo daughter to use, she prefers netting then catching the fish herself... in one day she netter around 60 fish and the ligh weight of this net made it enjoyable for her. I concur exactly with what another reviewer wrote that for fish over 30 inches you need a bigger net. For small to mid-sized fish, this net is awesome. No tangles, no snags, no hook hang-ups. The handle extends to 48", gives you plenty of length to land trout. If you fish for trout, you can't go wrong with this net. If you fish for salmon, musky, sturgeon, or larger game fish, buy a bigger net. I own six different rubber nets from small to large, I wouldn't use a net without a rubber netting. Was not as heavy built as I expected which is reason for 4 stars but works great is lightweight and time will tell if rugged enough rubber net really works great when catching catfish or using a slip lead as they don't get tangled in this style of net makes using it a breeze.

Used it every day hammering large and small mouth bass on a lake i. Maine last week. Was so great to use rapalas with treble hooks and not worry about destroying the net. This worked out awesome and I can't wait to put more fish in it!

I bought this after being frustrated with my old wire net tangling. I put this to use on my fishing kayak. Size is perfect- fits great in my rod holder and it extends if you need it to. I landed a trout with a spoon recently. When it started to flop around, the treble hook started getting tangled in the net, which would normally be an absolute nightmare. I was able to get it untangled in a matter of seconds! Well worth upgrading to a rubber net. I also noticed net marks on fish from my previous wire net. Not so with this net. The rubber mesh has flexibility and is so much bigger in diameter and gentler on the fish. If you practice catch and release, this is a must have. ... show more
