I used this in the front part of my kayak. In my kayak it has a fishing rod holder in the center that is right in front of where I am sitting. I just put the net in the fishing rod holder. Nice to have if a fish gets off of the hook in your kayak. Fish in Pic is tiny, but looks big, lol.

    • Worked to catch a rabbit
I used it to catch a large New Zealand (colony) rabbit with an eye infection that I treated. She would let me get close, but as soon as I started to bend over she bolted. I was able to position the net so that it blocked her escape from a narrow area and she ran right into it. A longer handle would have helped a bit, but it got the job done. I kept the handle in the bent position instead of locked in straight so I could use it to hold the net to the ground once she was inside. Her eye is looking much better now! ... show more

Mesh is rubber coated which helps with getting lures and hooks untangled, scooped a few bass with it, great for kayaking or wading with the short handle. Also has waistband/belt clip on handle

This landing net is compact. It folds in half. Small enough that it fits into a thin box! The net is 10" deep x 12" wide. The bottom of the net is 15". There is a button operated latch on the handle right at the net that allows the net to be folded onto the handle. When folded, the handle sits just inside of the rim of the net. The unit is only1.6" tall when collapsed. The grip on the net is padded which is a great idea, especially on color days. There is a safety cord with a carabiner on the very end of the handle. If you are buying this net to net small fish about 1lb to 3lb then this may be ok but if you are trying to net 4lb to 10lb Bass you are out of luck. It is flimsy and does not feel like a quality product and it is short. It takes both hands to fold and open. On the plus side it is very light and it does float. ... show more
