I recently received this "Foxmas Area Rugs for Living Room, 4x6 Machine Washable Tiger Animal Print Rug, Non-Slip Low Pile Indoor Floor Rug, Carpet for Bedroom Dining Room Laundry Room Kitchen Home Office" and my only regret is that I didn't go for the 5' x 7' rug instead of the 4' x 6' version. When I saw this area rug, I thought it would make a great statement piece for a small transitional area in my living room - an effort on my part to tie in decorative elements from one space to the next. I wavered back and forth on the two available sizes at the time I found it. There was the 4' x 6', which I ultimately ordered, but there was also a 5' x 7' option. I measured twice, made a reasonable guesstimate, and opted for the slightly smaller rug. I do not regret ordering it, but I really wish I'd gone with the larger size. You know your space at least as well as I know mine, I'd assume, and of course the choice is up to you, but I say, "go big!" on this one. The rug arrived quickly and came folded, bagged, and boxed. There were minor creases when I first laid it out, but most were nearly invisible by the next morning. After initial placement, I smoothed it out by hand, and that was when I got to really see the detail in the rug's pattern. On a cognitive level, I know this is a "printed" pattern and is not a tiger-skin rug. I know the fur pattern is NOT actual fur. That knowledge did not stop my lizard brain from grasping at the hairs in the pattern. I literally caught myself trying to "pinch" what looked like a longer hair as part of the smoothing-out process. I'm calling that a "muscle memory" response, but it still made me stop and do a double-take at my own behavior. But what's funnier to me is that I did it again. TWICE. Yeah, the fur pattern really does look like fur to me. That being said, this rug is the closest I've ever come to touching tiger fur so I could be completely wrong on what it looks like up close. In my head though, this rug looks exactly like the real thing, and that's good enough for me. This rug is in that newer generation of extremely low-pile rugs that are friendly with robotic vacuums. The rug is soft, but thin, so if you're more after the FEEL than the LOOK, you may want to consider adding a pad. The bottom of the rug is slip-resistant though, so the pad isn't necessary for functional reasons - just for comfort. Because of how "short" the rug is, it's great for doors - meaning, the rug is low enough that most doors won't even touch the surface of it when opening/closing. This rug is also *washable*, which is something I've only done a couple of times with the other washable rugs I already have, but there's a peace of mind that comes with that knowledge. For me, the peace of mind may very well outweigh the convenience of washing it myself instead of having to take it to a professional. Your mileage may vary, of course. This area rug was affordably priced at $35.99 when I ordered. The next larger size was almost $20 more, but it would have been well spent. No regrets ordering it though - and next time I'll remind myself to go bigger before having the rug shipped to my home! XD Happy to recommend!

Okay so this rug is a nice size. It definitely covers good space and adds presence to a room. But just a heads up, the material isn’t what’s pictured. It’s more of a printed tiger image rather than a textured or woven design and that wasn’t the best for me personally. The quality is where it lost points. It looks cool from a distance but up close it doesn’t have that rich or durable feel I was hoping for. Still, I have to give credit where it’s due. The size is generous and the print does stand out in a bold way. Overall I appreciate the style and value for the price but if you're looking for something long lasting or high end in texture this might not be the one. Great for a decorative pop or temporary setup though.

After dragging out our carpet cleaner and going through the whole, wet, laborious process for the hundredth time (thanks pups), I’d had enough, & the last time was the last time- instead of dragging all the steam cleaning gear out, I drug the carpet out…to the curb. I ordered this as a replacement, and it’s worked out really well. Despite being thinner, the new rug actually feels softer underfoot. It arrived folded, and although the wrinkles weren’t that bad, I threw it in the washer/dryer (because I can). It came out looking great- no steam cleaner necessary (the “washable rug” idea has definitely won me over)! The cowhide print is actually pretty realistic- even fairly close up. Finally, the style of the print helps to hide dirt, and the rug vacuums off easily, but if you’re the type of person who’s bothered by footprints on your freshly vacuumed carpet, this one might not be for you (since every single footprint- or paw print- leaves a mark). Ultimately, I like how it feels, I really like how it feels, and I love that it’s WASHABLE!
