I had just recently joined our high school mountain bike team. I bought this helmet and when I got it I couldn’t stop wearing it. It’s so comfortable and light, it does run small but it’s fantastic. On the second ride of our high school team training. I crashed on the trail and broke my left clavicle bone. I went down right on my face. The helmet did it job without a single flaw. As you can see in the pictures it’s pretty banged up. It protected my head beautifully. And afterwards I was sad to see it that way. Great helmet!! This helmet fit well and gives better protection for downhill riding. I got these for both my boys for bike park riding and jumps. It gives good protection and has good venting. Both of my kids had no complaints after long days at the mountain.

U like the 1/2 lids that sit on top of your head, this helmet gives confidence and support like a regular helmet. It is well vented, light and great looking. Go a size up from what you normally wear. I normally wear L so an XL fits me. It's a change of season year round helmet

    • One Awesome Helmet!
Many times new technology does not translate into better product. Not the case with this helmet. It's insanely light, doesn't look too bulky when wearing and is designed to protect your head much better than your typical half-shell helmet and almost as good as a full face helmet. One drawback if you could call it that is it does run one size small. I normally wear a size large for the majority of big bame manufacturers and I had to return the size large I initially ordered and exchanged for an XL. My head measures 23 inches and the XL fit like a glove right out of box. Included with helmet is different size pads that allow you to customize fit. Also of note is this helmet does not have the standard dial at the back of the helmet that allows you to tighten. To be honest, it's designed so you don't need this feature and I am quite confident it we would stay in place in the event of a crash. Being transparent, Fox's sizing chart for this model helmet is speced different than most of their other helmets and chart showed I am an XL. I we as r this helmet when riding my trail and enduro mtb's. Vents are well designed and allows plenty of airflow to keep you cool. Speaking of cool, the magnetic headstrap lock mechanism is a marked improvement over out dated clip closures. ... show more

I got the medium. True, it's a bit more snug than other mediums, but it was fine for me! I got the olive color. It's a dark olive color as you can see in the picture.

I've been wanting this helmet for a while but held off my purchase because I wanted the orange one. I finally bought this one and am glad I did. I have TLD half shell and full face helmets. I ride trails with heavy climbing and gnarly decents. This helmet has much more protection than a half shell but breathes much better than a full face. For those that do content, this helmets stays much more stable on your head than a half shell which makes your video quality much better. ... show more
