If you’re looking for a basic bed frame at an affordable price, this one from FOUBAN is one to consider. The whole thing comes in a 5 ft. box. There’s the backboard, the steel frame pieces, wooden slats, including all the bolts, nuts, and screws that you’ll need. While you get a mini wrench, it may be better to use a socket wrench. I found the wrench to be too small to be useful, I was able to put the frame together by myself in about 45 minutes. Many of the pieces unfolded and fit in place nicely. The slats are made of wood. These are kind of thin. Over time, these tend to fall out or break, so be aware of that. While the headboard and the footboard hold your mattress in place, you may find your mattress requiring adjustments the every few weeks as it shifts left and right to center it back on the bed. Other than that issue, it’s as I said - this is a very basic, raised bed frame that will take you about 45 minutes to an hour to set up. Once it’s up, just pop a mattress on it and you’re good to go. Item arrived scratched, immediately noticed cheap quality. Metal posts are hollow, within a week of basic use (myself and my 8lb cat) sleeping very still and very normally on our bed the back end has entirely bent and broken and does not support the bed. It’s been barely a month and the front half just gave out. There’s no fixing it since the metal is very cheap and punctured when bent; VERY UNSAFE! Amazon won’t help without an item return but I have no way to return a large, broken metal, bed. So I’ve wasted $100, my good sleep, and lots of precious time trying to get support. Now I have to deal with potentially returning the thing, buying a new one from someone else, AND trying to find a new bed on a limited budget. The piece bent and then broke, there is no mechanism to fix broken cheap metal. And bending it broke a hole in the hollow pole frame. The entire lower half of my bed is unsupported and the entire thing is sketch, wonky, and cheap. ... show more
