The media could not be loaded. Replaced a GE Profile over-the-range microwave/hood combo with this unit after the GE repeatedly failed and became choked with grease. It never really had great suction. Decided we needed the combo of a better hood and a small countertop microwave in our small kitchen. This new Fotile hood does the job. Build quality is excellent and the installation manual was adequate. The only negative - the printing was rotated on the cardboard template (IE not square- off by a 1/4 inch one end of the template to the other), though the all important mounting holes were in the right place. Took a bit of unnecessary hassle to realize this and install the unit. Once installed, it works like a charm. Very, very quiet and powerful and perhaps better that a much larger Vent-a-Hood we had in a previous kitchen. One issue with my installation - it’s clear you need a large diameter duct to get the best performance. I stepped our’s down to 4 inches from the 7 inch outlet on the hood, and that created a lot of noise. Still, it’s way better than what we had before. 5 stars overall, though they need to fix that template. ... show more

The product came in well packaged. The installation was quite straight forward after we watched a couple of videos on YouTube. It works very well even at the lowest setting which is what we used most of the times. The LED light is also very bright. We also received a surprise gift package from the company after we registered the product. Overall, it's a very positive experience so far after more than two weeks of using it. ... show more

It wasn’t an easy install for newbies but my husband and a few friends worked together and got it done. It replaced an over the range microwave. What I love most about this hood is that even at the lowest fan setting it does not let the cooking smell escape in to the house, even when I fry fish or cook an Indian dish loaded with spices.. It’s still too early to say how much it will protect the cabinets from getting greasy but I am quite confident about that as well. The led light is very bright. First impression of this product is that the product is very powerful with its suction ability. I tested it when I was cooking my steak which tends to generate a lot of smoke. This product did powerfully suck all the smoke away. Second point I want to mention is how quiet it is when operating. My previous one just made so much noise that I can't hear anything when I turned it on. But this Fotile vent doesn't make too loud noise at all like my previous vent. This feature is kind important to me because I really don't like too much noise. The third useful feature that I would like to share and I think it is kinda important to me is that its comparably easier to clean because its made of stainless steel. I use paper tower and some cleaner to clean the vent after I use it, it is very easy and simple to clean. The last feature that I want to mention is it provides good lighting for you to see clear the cooking area as well as the food you are cooking. ... show more

I decided to finally exchange my microwave for a range hood , as my wife does a lot of cooking and we need suction power to expel cooking smell. I there was a lot of different brands and models I was looking at , and as crazy as it would I decided to spend $1000 on a range hood. I received the package within a week and was pretty excited. When I open the box , the set up looked rewlly weird - the manual was missing and there were small scratches on the components as well as on the unit itself, but I didn't think much about it. I had a contractor come and Install the unit - paid $220. Later on that evening I came back and turned it on and it seemed kinda weak. This is when my wife noticed that only the right fan is working while the other one is not working. I had to pay the contractor to come and uninstall it and send it back, while my wife ordered a replacement unit. The replacement unit came in a week or so and when I opened the box the suppting packing was broken . I plagged in the range hood to the electricity , turned it on , and discovered that ones again only 1 fan is working while the other one is broken. I decided just to deal with my loses and send the unit back and never order from this seller or company. There are so many other brands that will give you a better and more reliable performance for this much money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this seller and the range hoods. ... show more

We purchased this Fotile UQG3002 range hood (850 CFM) to replace a 15 years old Broan Elite E662 (800 CFM). There are several things very impressed which worth to mention for this product: (1) easy to install as DIY by using included mounting template; (2) powerful suction and very quiet in compare to Broan Elite E662; (3) a cool motion control on/off switch; (4) convenient cleaning of capture-shield plates comparing with Broan's grease filters.
