  • My daily-use
My Christmas gift is a daily-use watch. Very well made and stylish.

  • Best Android Watch On The Market
Allow me to preface this review by saying that I've been wearing Fossil watches since Gen 1 and I have a background in tech, so I'm familiar with everything that's been on the market since then (including Apple Watches)/the general evolution of smart watches. Now, let's get to it. I'll keep this as breif as I can. This watch does not come with tools to remove links/make size adjustments. However, you absolutely can make all necessary adjustments with a paperclip and a little elbow grease (this is how I adjusted mine, a pair of pliers helps if you have them). Just YouTube how to remove links from a watch. It's not difficult at all. This watch comes with more links on one side than the other, so pay attention to that and count how many links are on each side to determine how many links to remove from each side as you are sizing the watch for yourself. If you have removed as many links as you can and the watch is still a bit loose, do not fret, there is a microadjustment you can make on the clasp. There are three size settings on the clasp, it comes default on the biggest size. Again, YouTube how to microadjust a Fossil Gen 6 Watch. Microadjustments on other watches are not quite the same, so I do recommend watching a video specifically for this watch for the microadjustment part. To give everyone a frame of reference, I have a very small wrist, exactly 6". I had to remove four links and shift the microadjustment to the smallest setting to make my watch fit perfectly. This took me about 45 minutes, as it was my first time ever adjusting a watch myself. Now let's talk about voice commands. Both Team Alexa folks and Team Google Assistant folks will be able to use the robot lady of their choice on this watch. Alexa is the default, so if you're Team Alexa, the hard work is done for you. If you're Team Google Assistant, you will need to go into settings and disable Alexa. Then you'll need to long press the middle button on the right. When Google Assistant pops up, swipe down and tap the settings gear and toggle on "Hey Google" detection. ... show more

  • Stylish yet sucky
Bought this for my daughter to monitor her heart. The battery life sucks. She charged it to fill capacity, took it off her charger, and left it. After 4 hours of being untouched on her nightstand with the face turned off, the battery went from 100% to 30%. The app doesn't sync so we couldn't see her historic heart data. The device is slow to pull sensor data. Every time it boots up, the "always on" feature re-enables itself which just eats the battery faster and she has to disable it again. Which, with as fast as the battery dies, means she has had to mess with this option a lot. It's so slow it re-locks itself before it finishes unlocking half the time. Unfortunately, I can go on... ... show more

  • Trading looks for performance.
I love the look and feel of this watch. Lightweight, with a classic design. Unfortunately it just doesn't perform as well as the Gear S2 I had previously. The only reason I wanted to upgrade from my aging S2 was the failing battery life. Even at the end the S2 responded quickly and had no issues with connectivity with any phone I paired it with. The Fossil watch is occasionally slow to respond and will disconnect if the phone is more than five feet from the watch. I have to either manually reconnect or restart just to regain media control. The battery life is technically better than what I was getting recently from the S2, but nowhere near the days of life the S2 had in it in the beginning. All that said it is still a beautiful timepiece and does what I need it to do most of the time. Hopefully future generations are a little more robust with some extra speed and snap. ... show more

  • Very Nice Smart Watch
I added a 42 mm adhesive bezel to hide most of the black border around the display - I wish the display would just go to the edge of the glass. Forget about leaving the display on all the time, the battery won't last 24 hours like that. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it so far. Finding out how to upgrade to Wear OS 3 was slightly tricky. You can't use the app to do that! On the watch, go to Settings, then System, then System Updates. The face in my photo is from Watchmaker. You can also use Facer and other apps to get more faces. Overall, it looks just like my real dive watch now that I added the adhesive bezel (Fossil makes real dive watches, so it would be nice if they offered nicer bezels than the one this came with). ... show more

  • Nice!
I bought it to test out whether I like smartwatches and how it could better help me in my failing wellness journey. It's aesthetic value is personally helpful and the functionality is much better than the features of the FitBit Charge 5 I was using. If you use the Google fitness app alongside the Fossil app it seems to be okay. Still learning but I like it and it's swagging. ... show more

  • Looks Great - Very Slow
Honestly, I wish I hadn't bought this smart watch. It looks fantastic, which is why I gave it 3 stars. But there are a few considerations: - It's very slow compared to other Android or Google OS watches - It is being discontinued by Fossil, which should tell you everything you need to know about it. (Fossil has confirmed they are exiting the smart watch market.) - It has a lot of difficulties connecting to and/or transmitting fitness details to your phone app. The documented solution is to do a factory reset and try again. Not exactly ideal. - The battery life is horrible. If you actually use the watch for notifications or have it in an "always-on" configuration, it will not last a full day. If you set notifications to "do not disturb" you can get a little more than 1 day out of the battery. There are other options out there. Choose a Garmin. Fitbit, or Pixel watch - or one of the random off-brand watches - and you'll have a better functioning product. ... show more
