Received this vise and it’s solid, sturdy and heavy. It seems like it’ll hold up well for use in my shop. It comes with the bolts, washers and nuts to secure to table top or workbench. I’ll be mounting this on another work bench once I build it, but I like that the bolts that comes with this vise are long enough to accommodate the depth of my bench top. The vise glides open and closed easily. I’d recommend this.

This is a solid, basic, no frills tool. It seems reasonably well made, with minimal play and good alignment in the jaws. That it's not 360 degree swivel is a little annoying, but with a little forethought in how you mount it, not the end of the world. Comes with mounting hardware, which is a nice little touch and saves a trip to the hardware store. Overall, decent for the price.

Pros: 1. Seems decent quality for the money. 2. Cast iron. 3. Paint seems to hold up well. 4. Works as it should. 5. Grips tight. Cons: 1. The whole vice is smaller than a similar size "5inch" vice. It is holding up OK, but long term we shall see. Overall: Happy with this for home use, would probably not recommend for daily work use.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this. This wasn't sent to me for free like all the other reviews. The vise came packaged very well! Has a nice beefy lead screw and the powdercoat was in fantastic shape. Very nice serrated jaws and they line up great when closed. This is low profile and sleek looking vise that really doesn't give up much depth from top of jaw to base of the opening. The 6 inch width is great for shop use. Not much of a anvil on the back but I don't pound on my bench vises anyway. Seems to be a overall great bench vise for home or small shop use. Has a hell of a rated clamping pressure due to the big lead screw and the Ductile Iron composition. I'm happy with it.

I was so excited to get this as I have been using an old janky bench vise for years and years and was looking forward to finally have a properly working vise in my shop. Unfortunately, I opened the box and looked to see that there were no rubber stoppers on the ends of the vise handle (as shown on the amazon page, as well as stated in the literature on this vise). I realize this may seem like a small issue to most, but I am so sick of that stupid clank of the handle and was so excited about that feature that I was completely let down. Also, since that feature was missed now I don't know what else they may have skimped on! The quality looks okay, but again, I feel like I can't trust the quality control on this whole thing since they completely missed the one thing I was excited about this (other than getting a new vise to clamp stuff in my shop). The action of the screw is okay so far, and the jaws feel like they get pretty tight. The machining on the top of the slide looks to be a little inconsistent, like they started going one way, and had to go back and fix an area that did not get milled off. I will keep my eye out for another fireball style ripoff that has the features I've been looking for, but for now I'll keep using this one.

This is the smallest 5" vise I've ever seen. I like little sometimes - not when my Rib Eye arrives at the table, and not when I'm shopping for a bucket of ice cream. A vise on my drill press cart is Okay. Really is small (see photos) - the black vise is my old import 5" - it broke - can be fixed - just doesn't seem as pressing now. What I don't like about this vise is the restricted swivel; it only swivels from midnight to 4 o'clock. The product page does say it has a 120 degree swivel (12 - 4 = same thing). Missed that part at time of order. For the purpose of this review and any other purposes in perpetuity I really don't give a flying frog at the Calaveras County Fair about their 120 degree swivel blurb on the product page. All my other vises swivel 360 degrees. There's no good reason for it not to swivel all the way around – accept it was cheaper to make that way. They're asking 80 bucks for this vise – I seriously doubt material costs are even 10 % of that. If you're gonna make it – make it right. Just my humble opinion – and I am humblest man on the planet. So put that in yer pipe and smoke it. It is nice little vise though – accept for the 120 degree restriction. So, --- 3 Stars Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life
