The safe arrived on time and was well packaged. It is a robust safe with a strong 3 bar lock, plenty of internal storage space and a lot of features for a very modest price. Open by key, security code or fingerprint. The safe connects to wifi and can be configured to send alerts to an app installed on your phone whenever it is opened, tampered with or if consecutive unsuccessful attempts to open it are made. An alarm of the wifi gateway device also sounds. The YouTube video guides for installation and configuration of the safe are very professional and easy to follow. While the safe itself is good, the customer support is some of the most impressive I have ever experienced. I purchased the safe for an association, to be accessed by multiple board members. I was having some difficulty configuring multiple security codes and sending alerts to multiple users' sub accounts. I submitted a help desk request through the app and expected to have to wait a day or two for a response. I was amazed to receive a response by email within 10 minutes. Oliver, the help desk technician, recommended some measures to resolve the issue. He also took some of the feedback I provided to the software development team and they are using this to develop some enhancements to the app. This was an outstanding customer service experience and I could not be more pleased with my purchase! ... show more

In its intent, and in principle, this safe is a good idea. In its design, perhaps also so. In its execution, definitely not a good end product. That's because a "smart safe" requires components that either are integrated with the safe to provide connectivity (in this case, WiFi and Bluetooth), or it must rely on critically-important adjunct devices to assist with connectivity. In the case of this safe that adjunct device is a gateway controller and relay that connects the safe-side bluetooth with the internet via the WiFi services in your home or business. So, you must configure the gateway controller device to connect to your WiFi, then configure it to connect to the safe's bluetooth. That's where the principle and design of this safe fail. And it fails miserably. It fails because so little critical thought, review, and quality control was placed in development and production of this critically-important link between the safe and the internet through which your control of the safe is accomplished. The gateway controller device is flimsy and cheap in its production. The buttons are barely usable, and when usable, the firmware of the device is so poorly written and matched to the processing power of the device as to render its functions laggy or worse -- completely unresponsive after several presses. The craftsmanship (and I use that term quite loosely) of the device housing and buttons add to the misery of this device but all of these shortcomings could be remedied if the device actually responded properly to the changes in settings and configuration that can be made in the downloadable app that pairs with the safe and its controller. TL;DR ? The controller doesn't listen to the app -- even when the app says "saved" or otherwise gives an indication that the changes you make have been stored and activated. The controller? It's still just the same and none of the app-side changes are propagated to the controller despite the *confirmations* that appear to come from the app. This safe *might* actually be quite a good one. Unfortunately, its weak link is so weak that it renders the entire system just not ready for prime time. ... show more
