DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME ON THIS ITEM. I BOUGHT IT TWICE, WITH THE SAME RESULTS: MOTOR QUIT WORKING AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS, AND YOU DEFINITELY CANNOT HEAR THE WATER FALLING. This is a very nice albeit small, easy setup, counter top fountain! Although small, I am enjoying it on my countertop! I still miss the sound of trickling down water, but, I still enjoy it! And an excellent price!!!!!!!!

Can't really hear water

This tabletop fountain is pretty great. Unlike the other review on this page, I haven't had any major issues at all. The fountain comes packaged in foam and comes with a bag of rocks, the base, the top, a glass ball, and a submersible pump/light ring combo with the power cable. The assembly is the most annoying part of this as well as not being able to hear any fountain/water sounds but that doesn't bother me to much. The instructions are barely anything to look at but I didn't need to look at them to figure it out. In order to assemble this fountain, you just slide the light ring over the tubing on the underside of the top piece and push it into place. Then to make it easier, you can take the nozzle off of the submersible pump and push that into the piece of tubing. Then just push the nozzle back on and place the entire thing into the base. Then put the glass ball in place, fill the base with water, place the rocks however you want them and then plug it in. Do Not power on these pumps out of water. They are made to be run with water in them or they will burn themselves out. The pump has an adjustable switch on it to choose how powerful you want it to shoot water out but I just left it at the maximum amount. If you remove the glass ball while the pump is going, it will shoot water straight into the air as the ball prevents it from happening. At the right amount of water, it actually starts spinning the ball after a little bit and it looks fantastic. It's fun to watch and play around with. Overall, it's a great tabletop fountain that is fun to watch and play with and it actually works. The only annoying parts of this is putting it together as the underside of the top piece is very sharp resin, there is no on/off switch, and it may take a while to get the ball spinning. And some people may be bothered with how extremely silent this is. Like no sound of water movement or anything at all. I've left this fountain going for 4 days now nonstop with no issue but I'll update this if anything happens.
