    • Transmisson fluid thickener
Ford transmisson in 2006, F-150, FX4, full size Extended Cab (4 doors), 4WD, black color, with faded headlight and fog lenses, peeling paint, was shuddering when downshifting to next lower gear. Also, felt like a little shudder in 1st gear upshift. Poured 4 ozs of this stuff in the transmisson dipstick tube, through a funnel, so it would not spill all over everything underneath. It now shifts to next lower gear when accelerating without shudder, although there might still be a slight shudder during 1st gear upshift. I may buy another 4 ozs and see if that cures the up shift issue. I'm not sure if this stuff will work for your transmisson issue, but it worked for mine. I did some research through U-Tube channels and found recommendations. The local chain auto parts stores did not have it, so I ordered through Amazon. Thank you Mr Amazon. There are 2 things about this product you must know. 1. It works as advertised. Very happy about that. 2. This stuff doesn't smell bad, it is possibly the worst odor on the planet. Don't order anything else with this product. Don't bring the package into home- EVER. After adding this to your gearbox, drop the bottle off in your nearest enemy's trashcan- you dont want it at your house. After returning home, strip naked and burn your clothes outside- even if you didn't get a drop on you. The odor from this stuff seeps into your clothes, and maybe your skin. Have someone hose you down with a scrub brush and soap before going indoors- think nuclear fallout decontamination scenes from the movies. I'm kidding- maybe a little- but this stuff really does smell awful! ... show more

Couldn't get rid of clatter in new limited slip 8" Ford rear. This worked immediately. Don't waste your time on other products, they didn't fully work.
