Description

Prestone DOT 4 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid delivers enhanced performance vs. DOT standards, benefitting all vehicles calling for DOT 4. This synthetic fluid starts with a higher dry boiling point than the DOT minimum standard to protect against overheating, brake fade and performance decline due to water absorption. This extended life (50,000 mile) fluid is also formulated to prevent corrosion of all metals within the braking system. This formula is safe to use in all DOT 4 braking systems (ABS, disc or drum) and can mix with any DOT 4 fluid. It is recommended to only use the DOT fluid specified for your car, as using a different DOT product can affect the boiling point or replacement interval if the wrong fluid is used.

Prestone being a very reputable company does what they do best on delivering great brake fluid. I’ve had no problems to this day with their products. They are great for the money and great for daily drive use. I would recommend a higher grade brake fluid if you decide to use on the track though!

I was actually able to notice a difference in this fluid vs DOT 3. This fluid resists heat better. It stays more springy where DOT 3 feels like it collapses more under heat and load. I like the prolonged service life as well. So far it feels like it will be able to maintain its life through the stated mileage. If you're wondering if it is worth the added cost I would say absolutely. I had new bottles of DOT 3 and don't regret buying and using this DOT 4 fluid instead. ... show more

This product comes in smaller bottles. When flushing the brake system, I would buy a quart and would have some left. I do not want to save the fluid for any period of time once open. These smaller bottles afford me the ability to keep fresh fluid available.
