I went through several different brands of vacuum sealers and rolls for making bags over the years but none compare to Food Saver. After my first purchase of the FoodSaver rolls I knew I would never try another brand again. The material is a little bit heavier than the other brands and I know I can rely on the bag to seal and stay sealed. The only unfortunate thing is after my sportsman’s model heat strip started to ware out after several years of use I discovered that model had been discontinued and that part was no longer available. The customer service representative did send me 1/2 dozen of the remaining parts that they had in stock though I may not have to use them. Needed to restock my supply of vacuum seal bags and came across these at Amazon. Read the reviews and admit to some apprehension based on them, i.e., bags not sealing, tearing, etc. Problem was I couldn't find any locally and needed some! Tried them out soon after arrival and didn't have any problems using them at all. Bags are original Food Saver quality, filled and sealed easily. If there is a downside, the rolls are now missing the cardboard tube in the center. Doesn't affect bag quality, but they are definitely harder to handle or manage when dispensing a new bag. ... show more

When I receiver the original brand, Food Saver Bags, they are wonderful every time I use them. If you receive a nock off brand, you will not be happy at all.

We seal all of our fresh meats and vegetables with this product. The rolls fit our sealing system perfectly and stay sealed. Also, being able to cut the exact size needed is a huge plus. The food is always fresh.
