  • Fantastic Strainer for This Newby Honey Extractor Fantastic Strainer for This Newby Honey Extractor
Size: 1 Pack
I ordered this for my first time spinning my own honey. It worked great! Loads of wax capping caught in the first, “coarser” strainer, and even more “light” wax caught in the second. The second strainer is incredibly fine. I initially was not sure that any honey would even go through the strainer as visually there are no holes. No worries! The honey strained through fine, and the end product is perfectly clear. The arms on the strainer expanded without issue to fit on my 5 gallon bucket and were reasonably stable. The strainer baskets do have a very slight wobble when the arms are extended, but nothing felt unstable. The strainer baskets themselves are very solid. I love the stainless steel material, and everything held up great during our honey extraction, and the washing afterwards. This seems like a great set for the money spent, and I do recommend. ... show more

  • High-quality, professional-grade strainer
Size: 1 Pack
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly Versatile: Perfect for Straining Milk! While this NUOMIC Stainless Steel Double Honey Strainer is marketed specifically for beekeepers, I decided to take a chance on it for a different purpose: straining fresh raw milk—and it works brilliantly. Why it’s a game-changer for milk: If you’ve ever struggled with flimsy cheesecloth or strainers that don't stay in place, this is the upgrade you need. The dual-layer filtration is excellent. The upper mesh (1875 micron) catches larger debris, while the finer bottom mesh (650 micron) does a fantastic job of catching everything else, resulting in incredibly clean milk without the hassle of disposable filters. Key Features that stand out: Rock-Solid Stability: They fit perfectly over my standard 5-gallon buckets, so I don't have to worry about the strainer slipping or tipping over while I'm pouring. It’s heavy-duty enough that I can work solo without needing a second pair of hands to hold it steady. Durable Stainless Steel: Because it’s stainless steel, it is much more hygienic and easier to sanitize than plastic or cloth alternatives. It doesn't retain odors, and it holds up perfectly to repeated sanitizing cycles. Efficiency: The "Hanging Bar" design is very clever. It sits securely on the rim, allowing me to pour large volumes of liquid through quickly without it clogging or buckling under the weight. Cleanup: Cleanup is straightforward. A quick rinse and a scrub with a soft brush, and it’s ready for the next batch. It’s such a time-saver compared to washing and wringing out cloth bags. Final Verdict: Whether you are a beekeeper looking to filter honey or, like me, someone looking for a high-quality, professional-grade strainer for homesteading tasks like filtering milk, this is a fantastic investment. At $17.99, the build quality is far superior to what you’d expect at this price point. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Very easy to use and clean afterwardsVery easy to use and clean afterwards Very easy to use and clean afterwardsVery easy to use and clean afterwards

Perfect honey sifter! I am a new beekeeper and have been slowly assembling all of the supplies. I originally got a sifting bag. One of the neighbors keeps bees and has been letting me do my training there. They were using the old bag system so I basically got that first to replicate what they were doing. However when I tried it, I immediately was wondering if there was better modern technology. That's how I found this. It fits perfectly on a bucket. I don't have to hold it in place. I don't have to worry about it falling in. It doesn't bunch up. It doesn't end up rubbing up against other things and getting everything sticky. It relies on gravity for the flow instead of having to do any squeezing. It's a very hands-off method for filtering the honey from any contaminants or solids from the process. The metal feels very good quality. The sizing is perfect. It's double layered, so you have two different size holes to collect different things in different filters. Then only the honey can drip through to the very bottom of the bucket. Where then you can just seal it there and it's already ready for processing into smaller containers or keeping like that if that's your preference. I find this method dirties up a lot less items so there is less cleaning afterwards. It also makes for a very clean transfer because the stainless steel is very easy to keep clean and reuse quickly. ... show more

  • One of my favorite pieces of equipment! One of my favorite pieces of equipment!
Size: 1 Pack
We're third-year hobby beekeepers, and we've tried a lot of different tools! This double stainless steel strainer has quickly become one of the most useful pieces of equipment. After extraction, the two-stage mesh of this strainer set does an excellent job filtering out wax bits and "bee debris" while still allowing the honey to flow through smoothly. It saves us a lot of time over doing it in two separate steps, and it gives us beautifully clean honey ready for bottling. We especially appreciate how securely it fits on our 5-gallon buckets. It stays steady while we pour, which makes the whole process easier and less messy. The construction feels sturdy and dependable, not flimsy like some strainers we’ve experimented with in the past. We expect to be using this for many seasons. AND... we use it beyond honey season. During maple sugaring season, it works wonderfully for straining maple sap as we process syrup. It handles the job with ease and cleans up quickly afterward. In the kitchen, it has become just as handy for washing fresh produce from the garden, draining pasta, and straining foods when cooking. I love tools that can do more than one job, and this one absolutely delivers. It’s practical, durable, easy to clean, and useful year-round. If you keep bees or simply appreciate versatile kitchen tools, this is an excellent purchase. We are very happy with it and highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Works great for straining honey
Size: 1 Pack
This is my 2nd honey strainer. The first one still works great but when I can get my grown children to help harvest the honey it really helps having more than one. Fits perfectly on my buckets.
