It works very well. It’s not heavy at all; however, it did take a while to dehydrate some fruits but the quality came out great. I will say say it was very silent, I barely noticed it was on.

One if the better dehydrator ice had. The square gates and 12 layers makes it easy to fit more food. The size is good and the opening door makes it easy to check and get things out. Its so quiet that i forget its in. The only down sides are, The bottom definitely cooks slower and the mahjong itself gets very hot,

This does the trick. I worked a large community garden plot this year with everything from peppers to tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, zucchini, onions and herbs. I used it extensively for garden and store produce as the freezer filled and I got tired of canning. The drier works well for snacks (banana, pear & apple chips) as well as soup & baking ingredients I can rely on even if our electricity goes out in our rural area (zucchini, carrots, onions, tomatoes, jerky, celery, herbs, cherries, even cucumbers for tzaiki sauce, etc). With the price of groceries skyrocketing we can now go months without buying produce from the store. Next year I hope to save up for a pressure canner and freeze drier to preserve a wider variety of foods & become more self reliant. The instruction booklets are only somewhat helpful as each booklet suggests different temperatures and times. So much depends on the food's moisture and ambient humidity and temperatures. I had better results on low & slow vs the higher temperature setting that an oven does just as well. Note you'll need to buy silicone grid sheets. To put over the 11.5 " grates. I bought larger 14" sheets sold separately as they were farr less expensive than the size for the drier.

This is my new favorite kitchen gadget. We bought it toale chicken jerky for our dogs but we have used it for so many things. Dehydrated fruit is so yummy and easy to make. Lemons for water is pretty great too. Trying different meats this week and I am officially old because I am excited!

It works incredibly well so far. It’s very quiet, can’t hear it, at least at the temps I’ve used it at so far (95-1131). Stuck a probe in it to measure accuracy of the temps and it was spot on. I love its capacity and, not sure if it’s me or the other food dryer I had (very inexpensive model), my herbs are incredibly aromatic. Honestly, I love it especially since my other food dryer didn’t have a timer function which made drying herbs very cumbersome because I’d have to stick around to make sure they didn’t over-dry while I was gone and the capacity is huge compared to my other.
