I got the 5-step version of this ladder mainly to use in my hall and garage โ€“ the ceilings are so high I needed a high ladder to change the light bulbs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this came with no assembly required โ€“ just had to get it out of the box & plastic wrap. It is very tall โ€“ I doubt I will ever use the 5th step, or the 4th step for that matter, but having the extra length gives me more security because I have more to hang onto when I go up the steps. I feel very stable on the first two steps, a bit less stable above that but I will have a spotter when I go up that high. It is very light weight and stores flat, not taking up much room. It says it comes with a handrail, which they define as the top part of the ladder. There is a loose roll of foam around the top handrail which seems unnecessary - also it will probably get torn off with time. I have found that ladders with side handrails are much better than those with just the top handrail, especially for the elderly, but they are more expensive. This is a more affordable option for small jobs around the house that require that you can get to heights above 2 steps - I can recommend it. ... show more

Easily held a 210 pound person on the top step and wasn't shaky or unsteady. No assembly needed. Just open the box and pull off the plastic. Folds and unfolds easily.

Perfect for a kitchen, or garage where things might be just out of reach. This ladder is the perfect size for an indoors ladder. Not a big fan of the foam on top, but other than that, it seems well-constructed, and a nice addition.

This is a good, sturdy step ladder that folds up nicely when not in use. I selected the pink color just because I was surprised you could get a pink ladder and I'm really happy with my choice - it's a bold look! It's hard to delve all that deeply into what makes a step ladder good or not good - after all, it's just folding metal thing with steps on it. But I can say in this case that the build quality is excellent, the tread-thingies on the steps really work, and it it is very sturdy when you climb even to the top step (I got the four step one). I'm not sure what else I'd want in a step ladder, to be honest, but this was certainly much better than I expected. Highly recommended!!! (PS: I included two photos. In the second one it looks like the steps are crooked/askew but they're not, it's just some weirdness with the lighting and camera angle). ... show more

It does the job. It does have a support under each step on one side but the metal isn't that thick on the steps so it does make a sound when you step on them. It's not the sturdiest ladder. However, I don't feel like it's unsafe. I can stand on the top step without any concerns. I like the soft handle cover, the color choices, and the fact that it folds flat for easy storage. I got the 5 step version because I live in a house which was built for very tall people and I'm 5' short. It is very thing and light, which makes carrying it from the basement up to the second floor not that challenging. It also till slide into a small area for storage. The steps are thin, which I think would not cause me any concern in a shorter ladder, but I don't feel unsteady with this when I step on it. I like the top having a curved handle as it's easier to hold on to. The foam covering is nice but I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time. ... show more
