Description

This all aluminum boarding platform helps safely bridge the gap between your dock and your boat. They are 18 1/4” wide, 21” overall, and extends 19 1/4” out from the edge of the dock and folds up when not in use. The hinge and frame is made from gangway materials for superior strength with anti-slip decking. The railing is made out of schedule 40 aluminum pipe, not thin wall bendable tubing, for extra strength and is removable if desired. The railing receivers are also welded on for additional strength. A platform with the railing on the LH side, opposite the one shown, can be custom made at no extra charge, just message me with the order number and mention “ LH railing”. Due to the numerous possible mounting locations mounting hardware is NOT supplied. I was looking for a functional, sturdy and attractive platform to cover the 2-3 foot gap between my dock and my boat on a lift. The prior set up was managable, but likely a matter of time before someone slipped stepping across. This product fixes the issue entirely. The Platform Step is made from very solid aluminum stock and folds conveniently up when not in use. Installation is via six predrilled 1/2 inch holes. I used 1/2" stainless steel lag screws (4") with stainless washers for a maintenance free installation. I was also able to use a router to inset the top flange by 1/4" into the decking to make the top plate flush. I think this make for a cleaner look. All in, a really nice addition to my dock and very pleased with the quality. ... show more

I'm super happy with how well made this product is! Do yourself a favor and buy the American model of this as the quality of the Aluminum is outstanding. Also when contacting the owner he was super responsive and changed my handrail to the left side and still got the package on time. Very Sturdy and easy to mount! Quality product, I had to get into my boat and lower it into the water to reach above and below the dock at the same time to secure the bolts. In the end though it works great. ** I think an improvement would be to make it a few inches shorter and install a non marking thick rubber bumper in the end. I don’t need it on mine but in general that seems like a good idea. ... show more

This is obviously made in USA heavy duty well engineered product. I am only 5'1" and with my new dock was unable to board my new boat (at 64 yr old I'm not jumping anymore) so this was essential. I started my search and this was the only product that fit the bill for me. I now feel very safe especially with the additional handhold bar. I also love the fact that it can be folded up when not in use. I highly recommend this product to anyone for safe onboarding! ... show more

I installed the boarding platform the day it arrived and was thoroughly impressed with the workmanship and the structural integrity/sturdiness. It is a perfect fit for our dock and provides the length needed to safely get our boat passengers on/off the boat. 5 stars on this product.
