Description

Clarett+ 4Pre is the studio-grade audio interface for PC and Mac, designed for music makers who demand the highest quality while recording and mixing their audio creations. Four high-headroom, low-noise, low-distortion Clarett⁺ mic preamps — featuring All-analogue Air with impedance switching and relay control — capture vocals, drums and acoustic instruments with immense clarity. Two JFET instrument inputs let you plug straight in and preserve the natural tone of your guitar, just like plugging into an amplifier. Independent A-D and D-A converters bring creators and collaborators closer than ever to their music, with extremely wide dynamic range and low distortion. Greatly improved D-A dynamic range enables you to hear every detail and have greater control over your mix. Incredibly low A-D converter distortion lets you capture signals with more clarity, for greater transparency and sonic accuracy. Two improved, powerful and transparent headphone outputs inspire artists to hear every nuance, customise their foldback mix, and perform their best. Clarett+ 4Pre brings collaborators together, with options to record up to 18 input channels simultaneously. Expand via ADAT using the Clarett OctoPre or other outboard hardware. Four analogue outputs and MIDI input and output makes Clarett+ 4Pre the centerpiece of the evolving recording studio.

  • Perfect for a home studio setup
Style: 8Pre (18-in/20-out)
Amazing product. A great option in lieu of a mixing board. Provides a direct signal that doesn’t add color to the sound.

  • Outstanding
Style: 4Pre (18-in / 20-Out)
system: Reaper v7.12 on a Beelink GTR6 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, 32 gb, running Windows 11 Pro. I kind of worry whenever I spend over $500 on a piece of music gear. I worry it won't be worth it. I upgraded from a Focusrite Scarlett Solo, and the difference is stark. It's totally worth it. It's built like a tank, the sound quality is outstanding, zero latency, headphone power is great, and the combination of dedicated headphone volume controls and the separate output mixes you can setup with the downloaded Focusrite control software is really great. It's leagues above the Scarlett series. Best $630 gear dollars I ever spent. ... show more

Definite step up from Scarlett. Cleaner sound. Recommend for home recording

  • Quality and clarity
Style: 2Pre (10 in/4 Out)
Big step up from the scarlet I would recommend it and its very easy to use.

  • Great for grand piano recording
Style: 4Pre (18-in / 20-Out)
The media could not be loaded. Very happy with Focsurite Clarett+ 4Pre for recording grand piano. Audio in attached video recorded using a matched pair of Soyuz SU-013 mics (75%) and a matched pair of AKG C414 XLII mics (25%) with a Focusrite Clarett+ 4Pre on standard (non-air) setting.

  • Great build quality, but not for everyday users.
Style: 2Pre (10 in/4 Out)
I bought this audio interface after some research on audio interfaces. The reason I bought it is because I also bought the Shure mic, which needs an audio interface. This would be my first audio interface. Unfortunately, I ended up returning all products. Not because of the product but because my lack of audio engineering. In my setup, this is connected directly to the Square Mic, the sound is so low even after I turned the gain to max. Some research indicated I might need the "Cloud" booster device. that leads to the final return decision. My mistake here is not knowing enough audio engineering. So be warned, this is not for everyday users. So be warned, if you plan to use this with the Shure mic, you also need a signal booster. My recommendation is just use the USB mic and be done with it. It is really not worth it to get all those products and go through a whole course of "audio engineering" just to make a somewhat "working" system. ... show more

  • 4 Pre is important
Style: 4Pre (18-in / 20-Out)
My wife kept asking me for more 4 Pre so I got this one. I myself enjoy 4 Pre, so I figured it would be a win-win. However, when it came in the mail I showed it to her and she just sighed. I don't know what to make of that, but I'm very happy with my unit.

  • Software Needs Attentions
Style: 4Pre (18-in / 20-Out)
They removed certain features on this premium device such as loopback audio which is available in older and cheaper models. Also, the software really ruins what could be a great product. I would probably rate this much higher if they fixed the software on this expensive interface.
