  • Easy to use software. No power after one year, adjuster is difficult to move higher and lower.
Easy to use. Laser adjustment is annoying, to raise it or lower, the piece is not seated well and is hard to screw together. the laser is also sensitive so after you adjust the height you have to mess around with the laser position until it works. Laser is $1,000 less one year later, that's a big drop in price. I think my power supply is out after 1 year of using, will cost $180.00 to replace (machine will not power on). I bought the roller for $500 but cannot laser anything except wood, no glass or metal, roller is pretty much useless if you cannot etch glass. ... show more

  • DOA
I was super excited when I purchased this. I had wanted a laser cutter for quite some time and this was my first purchase. I read reviews, watched some videos, and everyone had great things to say. It did not click to me at that point that it was harder to find videos and information on this specific name brand, than it was the Xtool or glowforge. It all makes sense now. Once I once I receive this, it was like a kid one Christmas. I opened it, set it up turned it on, and that’s where the troubles began. The touchscreen did not worm. The initial screen that popped up was the fire hazard screen - where you had to hit ”accept” and it would not let me. I was pretty upset and disappointed but I researched more. I tried to do as much troubleshooting as I could. Finally, after turning it off and on a few times it finally worked. I was allowed to use the laser cutter. I used it one time before it did this again. That is when I messaged the seller and they asked me to update the firmware. One, I shouldn’t have to update the firmware or anything… I should expect this to work straight out of the box like every other consumer. Second, once I updated the firmware, it did fix the touchscreen issues, but another issue arose. I was stuck on a screen that said ”connecting to machine.” It was at this point I asked the seller for a refund and I sent this back via UPS. This may have been a one off as I do not see these issues coming up in other reviews, but it was enough to put a sour taste in my mouth. I purchased an xtool D1 pro instead, and it is scheduled for delivery today. I will set it up and I will leave my review for them after this weekend. ... show more

  • Great laser cutter and engraver machine
My first experience with the Flux Beamo 30W has been nothing short of outstanding. The shipment arrived in a sturdy package. I don't often seen such meticulous packaging. The provided instructions were crystal clear, making the setup of this desktop CNC machine a straightforward task, even for a beginner like me. The Beamo software is very user-friendly and connected wirelessly without a hitch. When I first embarked on engraving a wooden sample for a hobby project, I ran into a minor issue. The cut wasn't as clear. I discovered that I had to refocus the laser head, and then it worked fine. It sort of works both as a laser printer and a cutter. It proved itself to be adept at working with a range of materials. From wood and acrylic to even leather, fabric and glass, the precision of this CO2 laser engraver is amazing. The only minor shortfall I found lies in their software, which could provide better guidance on what steps to take when a particular error shows up. This, however, doesn't detract much from the overall high performance and functionality of this CNC machine, and when you reach out to the seller's support team, they are super helpful. In conclusion, I'm genuinely pleased with my purchase of the Flux Beamo 30W. This portable, wireless, and highly precise machine is a fantastic introduction for beginners in the field of laser engraving. ... show more

  • Great Laser Engraver for the Right Price
I was pleasantly surprised to find the Flux Beamo 30W available on Amazon with fast shipping. There was some mishap initially as the freight forwarder left it with our neighbour, but then we sorted it out. WIth the Beamo in my hands, I tested the features that many praised in their YT reviews. MATERIALS The Beamo indeed supports a wide variety of materials, giving users a wide range of possibilities. I’ve tested everything: wood, acrylic, leather, pieces made of cardboard and fabrics. For example, attached you can find a photo of a leather knife sheath with a custom engraving we made. SOFTWARE I appreciate the ability to use Corel Draw to design my projects, then you export the files to the Flux software for cutting and engraving. AI users will probably be more excited as there is a direct integration with the software (although I haven’t personally tested it). Both the PC app and the mobile app are super easy to use. The Beamo's capability to scan drawings and directly cut them is remarkable, here Flux wins me for their user-friendliness. SAFETY You cannot start engraving if the lid is open. I tried starting the print a few times before without closing the lid, and the safety switch didn't allow the laser to start operating without me closing the lid. This extra reassurance is a great and essential touch. Thanks to that, no safety goggles are required during operation. As for fumes, we directed the vent hose outdoors and didn't experience any problems here. PRIOR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED However, to fully utilize the machine, background knowledge in design, software, and materials is essential. The $2,200 price tag justifies itself if you have experience with vector software and a basic understanding of materials. Patience is key, as you'll need to fine-tune settings and experiment with different materials. For example, for the leather piece I had an extra piece of leather to test the settings, and only then went onto completing the final job. WORKING CONDITIONS In addition, don’t use it when it’s too hot. The recommended temperature is between 41 - 95 F. It’s sometimes getting quite hot here in CA, I would sometimes get the #902 error. Adding extra cooling helped though. CLOSING THOUGHTS Overall, the Flux Beamo 30W is a fantastic laser cutter and engraver for those who are willing to invest in its capabilities and have the necessary skills to make the most out of it. ... show more
