The light looks just like it does online. The seed glass gives it a vintage feel, while the wire 'cage' part leans towards farmhouse/industrial, creating a nice mix. It's a pretty light, but on the small size so best for a small room such as a laundry room, smaller entryway, or hallway. I installed it in a small home office, and with the edison bulbs, it gives off a good amount of light. As a 'house flipper' I've installed more ceiling lights than I can count. This is the first light I've ever seen that does not sit flush and tight against the ceiling, and there is simply no way to get it flush without tightening it to the point of bending the back plate. The issue is the back plate is so thin and flimsy that when one tightens the two bolt covers near the center of the fixture, that center part pulls upward to the ceiling while the outer edge of the plate/fixture sags down away from the ceiling, and the weight of the glass shade and cage only makes it sag more. The gap this sag creates between the fixture and the ceiling is small, so probably not all that noticeable, but still annoying. It's an inexpensive light fixture, so you get what you pay for. We're in the process of nudging 1970 out of our lake cabin. Nothing had been changed since it was built 50 years ago. We put one of these in the kitchen and another in the hallway. It's so nice to be able to see what we're doing. My husband did say they were a bit of a nightmare to install. Apparently an important screw isn't long enough. I absolutely love these fixtures. Ordered 3, all came well packaged and undamaged. They provide a fair amount of light, depending on bulb wattage, we put ours in the hallways of our house, took my husband about 10 minutes to install. We used 40 watt amber bulbs to help diffuse the amount of light they exude since they are in the halls. They are super cute, and are a good combination of industrial and farmhouse, which is exactly the style of our house. They compliment our space fabulously. Good quality for the price. The only thing I do not like, is the fact that the metal and glass are separate pieces. You should use a lot of care when changing bulbs to avoid breaking the glass. It gets kind of tricky once the glass is disconnected from the base, and a little more nerve wracking then the average single globe/glass light fixture. ... show more

    • Perfect for a farmhouse bedroom
We bought this light to replace a ceiling fan over our bed. We love the industrial look and the bubble glass. We're very happy with this light and the fact that it was wide enough that it covered the same circle on the ceiling of the fan we removed. No need to paint!

The reviews on this must be by employees. This was a pain to install. No directions, just a diagram. Wires are aluminum which are not up to code. The weight of the entire piece is held up by two small screw on balls. Very poor design. Made in China. Guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this light (Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture, HWH) and after installing it I noticed a slight crack in the glasss fixture. I contacted HWH and asked for a replacement glass globe. HWH instead refunded my purchase price so that I could buy another one. Great support from HWH. I will buy from them again!! ... show more

Nice light. I like the dimming feature. I put one in my dining room and one in my bathroom for a nice update. They were a little tricky to install and get the screws lined up right. Other reviews said that it wasn’t flush... the nut on the long screws need to be lowered during installation so the it tightens flush to the ceiling. I want to switch out the regular bulbs for Edison’s but this is what we had on hand. ... show more

    • Nice light but incomplete
This light is great looking but the unit I received was obviously one which had been returned. It was missing several items — including installation instructions, the rod which attaches the cover glass/cage to the base as well as the bottom cap. One of the two ball-nuts attaching the base to the ceiling box was also missing. There were no wire nuts included. Whoever had returned it had tossed in a couple of pieces from another lamp, including a metal filial which was packaged against the glass — a few scratches but fortunately not broken. I was able to make do with some additional parts purchased but it should never have been shipped as a new item. Again — the lamp is nice but the item was incomplete. ... show more
