The light was easy to install but isn't connecting with my alexa app. it opens up a link in safari but doesn't actually connect to alexa after clicking on something in alexa. Quite annoyed about this. Also it's only shades of white so on color temperature and no color options but that was as advertised and I just didn't notice so it's fine. “Led Smart Ceiling Light, 3200LM Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture, 2700K-6500K Stepless Dimmable Bright Ceiling Lights for Bedroom Kitchen Living Room Lighting White, 13 Inch, 1 Pack” I ordered this ceiling light to replace a 6” wide recessed can light. The recessed can light has a limitation of a 100W bulb (1600 lumen), and I wanted a brighter light there. This LED fixture is a perfect replacement in a couple of ways. First of all, its 13” diameter is more than enough to cover the 6” hole that was created for the recessed can light. Secondly, the “twist lock” base plate that the light attaches to is 8” in diameter (you can install the screws up to 7” apart), so I was able to use screws to secure it to the ceiling, centered over the 6” hole. Thirdly, this light provides 3200 lumens, so it’s twice as bright as the recessed can light. I already had a dimmer switch installed to control the light, and it works well to smoothly brighten and dim the light without any flickering. I also really like being able to choose from a variety of 2700K to 6500K color temperatures. There is a hook and cable attached to the light fixture, which allows you to hang the light from the mounting bracket while you connect the wiring. It makes the job so much easier. The Prodigytec App works well to control the lights from your phone. You can turn the lights on and off, set the brightness, set the color temperature, set various timers to turn the lights on or off gradually or quickly, and much more. You can also use voice control, if you have Alexa - which I don’t, so I can’t comment on that feature. ... show more

This works perfectly for what we needed it for. We put it in our pantry that's always been super dark. Now I am able to look for things without having to get a flashlight. We've tried those battery-operated lights but found that they died out too quickly. I would definitely recommend this bright light. Perfect for places where you need light and don't want to spend a lot. Sure, it's mostly plastic and pretty boring looking, but for $49.99 Not worth it to much. Surprisingly it does offer three different "temperatures" or light spectrums from Warm to Daylight 3200LM and 2700K-6500K color temperature, with seamless 1%-100% dimming via the app. Thin Plastic and Tin construction are where the savings in manufacturing were made, but the LED seems to work fine and should last for a good amount of time. I added the lights to a storage room and am pleased with the results. I'll save on flashlight batteries enough to pay for themselves in no time! ... show more

    • Suck an awesome ceiling light for an crazy reasonable price!
I've installed a few ceiling lights in the past year, and I have to say this was BY FAR the easiest installation. The super light plate gets installed into the ceiling and once installed, there is a hook that hooks onto the light so that you can tight all the wires together. So convenient so I don't have to try to keep up the light when I'm dealing with the wires. The wires, did have to be stripped a bit so that it was a good hold on the wires, but that was easy enough. We love that we can control everything with your phone and even MORE LOVE that it connects to alexa. No longer does my daughter need to get up to turn off the light. It also have functions to allow it to wake up on a timer which is fun too! Great light and would recommend. My son is asking for me too now. ... show more

The light was easy to install, the mounting plate screw slots match a standard ceiling outlet box screw pattern. There is an app to control the light temperature and brightness and the light remembers the settings when powered off so you don't need to install a dimmer switch.
