I don't know how to write this review without sounding like it's a paid advertisement. I have no affiliation with Flukers. I honestly don't know the first thing about them, other than they also make cricket food that I've purchased in my local pet store. Now on with the review! Before trying Flukers, I ordered medium-banded crickets from several other companies based on price and delivery speed. I've been pretty disappointed with those orders. I've gotten wild variations on cricket sizes and I usually get what looks like half the amount I ordered. I've placed my last few orders with Flukers, and they have been the most consistent. They get to me relatively fast, about three business days (I'm in Atlanta), and they're packed well and mostly alive. I have no idea if there are 500 in the small box, and I could never count them. But, I'm happy with the amount. The big difference seems to be the way they're packed. They use egg crate material that's neatly layered in the box to keep the little guys and gals from getting tossed around like beads in a maraca. And, the price is great. If I got the same amount of crickets from my local pet store it would cost 10 times what I pay. Overall it's a great value and I plan to keep ordering from Flukers. I've received nothing in return for this honest review. So there.

I have bougt this item twice the first time big crickets and they were alive but put in mailbox and this time small ones and they were all pretty much dead. Our pets depend on these to eat so its an inconvenience when this happens and ducks there are no refunds or returns. I think this should be an option if we have a picture. BTW this item does not let you know when it's delivered either.

I order more then I need because about 25 - 50 % arrive dead. I keep them in a medium - large crate but they die off fairly quickly. I feed the orange cubes, dry cricket food, veggies and fruit. I clean ild foods daily as I feed new foods. I keep a thermometer that shows humidity and the humidity isn’t always ideal. I order 1000 to get 300 live to feed. This is not a good deal but I need a variety. I feed to my Bumblebee dart frogs, sling jumping spiders and even adult bold spiders.

Live Crickets jumping everywhere and they seem very healthy and rubbing their legs together at dark. My tarantulas love to hear them and hunt them and I like the sound from my extra bedroom. Happy crickets. Feeding them the Fluker's orange and blue. Thank you

The first order came and more than half were dead on top of that they sent me assorted sizes most of which were pinhead size which was much smaller than I ordered. Contacted Fluker's and was sent a replacement order and more than 3/4 were dead. No air holes were in either box. Was told they could breathe through the edges of the box but that was not possible because all the edges were taped over. Very disappointed because now I have to order more from somewhere else.

So first I will just mention (if the description doesn’t already), the crickets are ONLY contained by the box they are shipped in. So the second you cut the tape, they can begin getting out. Now I have been ordering crickets for a long time, and this is a very normal practice, but just wanted to let others know just in case. Anyways, I always take my box of crickets and container outside to transfer them all. The box was easy to get into, had plenty of egg crates to keep the crickets safe and secure, and very minimal dead. Very impressed with everything I’ve seen so far. Size was accurate as well, and shipping was WAY faster than expected. Will order again
