Even though I have not yet installed and used the stove, I'm giving a 4-star rating based on improvements from a Fltom stove I bought 3 years ago and the complaints about smoke leak from door and pipes. Attached are photos of a Fltom stove I purchased 3 years ago which leaked smoke everywhere through the seams EXCEPT from the door and the pipes. Looks like they fixed the smoke leakage from the firebox (according to reviews) but too bad they changed the door which did not leak, had gasket rope seal and had an air intake adjuster. It was a perfect door. Hope they return to that. The glass view is a "nice' feature but unless they get that right without leaks, who cares for "nice" when the purpose is to heat the home SAFELY without smoke inhalation. The pipes that did not leak smoke 3 years ago had a 1 3/4" connection seat. Seems they reduced that to 1 1/8". Surely the reason why pipes leak smoke now. They increased the size of the firebox to what I would say a perfect size for a camper/small cabin/tiny home garage stove. With minor adjustments - if they return to the previous door and pipes connection length.; test their model stove in wet, humid, bad wood burning condition for smoke/fume leak before mass scale manufacturing, they could spearhead into this affordable tiny stove market by storm. I'd be the first to buy it and willing to pay a little more. For this current stove, looks like I will have to redo the door for air inlet adjuster and buy gasket rope seal and seal the pipe leaks. I'd give it 5 stars otherwise. ... show more

We love this little wood stove. It is perfect for our tiny cabin. We installed extra steel pipe peices with a rain cap out our roof. The wood does burn kinda fast but anything bigger would be too much for our 120 sqft space. May place bricks around the base of the burner to retain more heat. Have to get up at 4am to reload the stove becasue of the smaller size, we will see if adding bricks will help retain heat. The stainless steel is a plus, did not give off smoke or smell at first burn. We picked up a carbon monoxide detector which did not go off at with first burn. We raised up the stove off the ground using concrete garden patio slabs and tiled all around the ground area and up the wall with the chimney. Installed a metal collar outside the roof with thermal tape. Hoping for years of fun with this tiny wood stove in our tiny family Michigan cabin. - Earth Nature Creations - Follow us! ... show more

I added a damper, purchased separately, for the heat and burn control of the wood. I also added lock washers for the legs and the window screws. In addition, I added a small heat gasket around the door. Perfect product!

No experience with other stoves, but this seems nice for the price. Was missing a nut welded inside to mount a leg, but I found a spare in my hardware collection. I would recommend assembling before heading out on a trip. It is heavier than expected, which will hopefully be good for longevity, but this is not for traveling light like something from titanium, or thin stainless. ... show more
