Description

This is an excellent aquarium plant combination to bring life to your aquascape. The plants in this package are all truly aquatic plants that will enhance the biological ecosystem in your aquarium and make your fish happy too! Live aquarium plants helps maintain higher water quality by binding organic waste. Aquarium plants will convert carbon dioxide into oxygen which makes for a healthier environment for your aquarium inhabitants. The vast majority fish of species natural habitats' include aquatic plants. They will therefore feel more at home in a planted aquarium. Fish that like their environment are less prone to illness and more prone to be active, display vivid colors and spawn. Additionally, keeping aquarium plants can reduce stress in several ways for your fish. Establishment of territories can decrease the amount of fighting among fish by forming many small territories instead of one big one in the aquarium. Live plants also provide weaker or less aggressive fish suitable hiding spots where they can avoid being bullied. The species included in this bundle are Anubias Barteri, Hornwort, Moneywort, Amazon Sword, Dwarf Sagitaria, Red Melon Sword, Anubias Coin, Hygrophila Araguaya, Java Fern, Vallisneria. Please note some of the red plants ship in its emersed form and will take several weeks for them to transition to its aquatic reddish form. While not necessary, you can optimize their grow by using appropriate lighting and adding CO2. Furthermore, in the rare event that some species are not available, we will replace the species per our discretion for a plant of equal or higher value.

  • Great price and quality
Number of Items: 10
Plants arrived very healthy. They are now thriving after 3 weeks in the tank. Great looking plants, clean from debris, and beautiful. Much better than anything I have ever purchased from a pet store.

  • Quality plants
Number of Items: 10
These came in a box clearly labeled "live plants do not leave in mailbox" and unfortunately, the carrier did in fact leave these in my mail box. I was very worried because they looked pretty abused right out of the box. To my surprise, with a little pruning and some plant food, they are doing just fine. I waited about a week before I posted this to make sure all was well. Overall, a good buy. ... show more

  • Missing Plants, where's the Hygrophila Pinnatifida?
Number of Items: 10
The plants I did receive are in decent shape, though the Hygrophila Araguaya is pretty yellow and falling apart. From one of my pictures you can the the plant that is too small ( no way it is 6" which the seller lists as minimum size) to tell if it is Marbled Queen, it does not appear to have any variegation. The Altlandsberg Sword looks flattened. The red plant is Telanthera which is not in the pictures sellers pictures, but is included in the list of Species. Completly missing is the Hygrophila Pinnatifida. I already had half these plants, but saw this as an good way to get Hygrophila Pinnatifida and a couple swords I didn't have. After contacting the seller, I received the missing plants and all is well. Increased my review to four stars since my order has now been made complete. After contacting the seller I was told that the Hygrophila Pinnatifida is sometimes substituted in the winter. That information is nowhere in the listing, but the plant they said they include as a substitution was already on the list of included species ( Telanthera ). Seller requested pictures so he could "see if Telanthera was included" and I provided the ones attached. After not hearing from them I asked if they had received the email with the pictures fearing it may have been blocked due to size. No response. I am disappointed that the plant I wanted most is missing, that the sellers communication is not up to par, and there has been no attempt to correct the issue. Others have had better luck, so you may try your luck and see if your results are better; if not, the seller probably will not make it right. **Update** The seller did respond and I somehow missed it. They said two of the plants were substituted and they are sending replacements. ... show more

  • Decent small set of plants at a good price but you will get pond SNAILS!
Number of Items: 10
Plants came and looked healthy enough. I think I remember counting 9 or10 varieties. Some are rooted, some are weighted stem cultures. The plants are all bagged together, no labels, no instructions as to which plant goes where or final heights of growth so you have to do a bit of work to identify and determine which plants are appropriate for fore, mid and background plantings. I planted a 60 gallon tank with this pack, a bit sparse but thinking val and swords fill up a good deal of space when grown out, just standard inert colored gravel, Seachem liquid ferts and root tabs, no CO2, but I did invest in a Planted+ 24 LED light. First week to about week 4 the stem plants melted back quite a bit and the rooted/rhizome plants started loosing some leaves but... new growth also started popping up. New leaves and roots, as well as some runners from the val and adventitious sprouts from the java fern, and true underwater color forms started to show. It was also apparent at around this time that I had hitchhikers, pond snail eggs... a lot of them... I'm pulling out a dozen or so tiny ones a day. I'm pretty sure these plants were advertised as snail free somewhere but at this point, the damage is done. I will be fighting these pests as well as I can but I've got fish and shrimp that are sensitive to any poisons so its down to mechanical removal. Summery, decent plants, good variety, they will melt a bit before growing but they are viable. Down side is you have to research what they are and where to grow and YOU WILL HAVE TO TREAT THESE PLANTS FOR SNAILS BEFORE YOU PLANT OR SUFFER THE ENDLESS SNAIL HORDE! Buyer beware. ... show more

  • Beautiful Plants
Number of Items: 10
These are beautiful, healthy plants! I would suggest paying attention to weather conditions before ordering (too hot or cold). First, I am new to live plant tanks (the fake plants would tear my betta's fins). I've ordered twice now from this seller. The first order, I attempted a bleach bath for fear of snails or alge. Some of the plant unfortunately did not survive. I purchased a second batch and just placed them in the tank and have not had any issues with pests or random hitchhikers. I did research on caring for live tanks and find it not to be the easiest or cheapest option in the beginning, but I feel will be so beneficial once my tanks are fully established. I currently have I no fish and I'm just focusing on these plants. I've read that new plants may "melt" when first introducing them to the aquarium due to going from oxygen to being submerged in water, and then they will grow new leaves. I have one tank with pebbles that was cycling with water before i placed the plants in. I found it difficult to keep the plants down in the pebbles or from floating up. My second tank I did sand and planted them before filling the tank which was much easier! I've purchased Root Tabs that I place in the subtrate directly, CO2 Booster, and Leaf Zone to provide nutrients. They seem to be happy plants so far! I'm extremely happy with these plants and I look forward to purchasing more from this seller. I love the variety of all the different plants that come in the bundle. It's a learning process definitely and can't wait to add fish to my beautiful tanks eventually. ... show more

  • Will kill your shrimp 100%
Number of Items: 10
Killed all my shrimp. This is treated with some sort of chemical that kills snails and it also killed all 15 amano shrimp over the corner of two days. Most of the plants arrived fairly wilted and about 3 of them just immediately melted away in the tank to nothing. Terrible experience. Really bummed about my shrimp. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Number of Items: 10
Was hesitant to order plants through the mail but happy I did so. Only one of the plants didn’t suit my needs but all the other are doing great in the tank. Our “Otto’s” love the plants and the pea puffers love the fern style one specifically. Would like to order more of the grass style plant but not sure what it’s called. (All but one plant in the pics came from this seller, the large green leaf plant that you see edges of in 2 pics) ... show more

  • New to aquatic plants, but not disappointed so far...
Number of Items: 10
I haven't bought aquatic plants in over 15 years, but really wanted some to help with the nitrite levels in my cichlid tanks. After looking around I went ahead and decided to give these a try. They look weird when they arrive (I am a novice with these, so they were probably perfectly fine to those used to them lol), but after placing into them into the tanks they seem to be doing much better. I placed them in the tanks on a Friday; I checked my nitrite levels the following Sunday and they're way lower in acceptable level standards now. Currently my only issue is in one tank I suspect at least one of my fish has decided she didn't like where I stuck some as I now have floaters and munched leaves. In another tank area I do have one that appears to be dying but I suspect my snail (had prior to these arriving, didn't come with them lol) is to blame for that. Overall, at the moment, I'm pleased with my purchase. If anything drastically changes (like they all decide to wither away simultaneously) then I'll update it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just wanted to update this almost 7 months later... I have just 1 plant left that's flourishing and one "stubble" bit that's been picked over. However this is not the plants themselves fault...it is my fish. They're jerks that think they need to rip everything apart (cichlids) lol. I don't know how I still have one decent sized plant left, guessing all the plastic "decoys" I put in there kept them distracted from it. Recently I took all of the plants out because I was tired of finding them popped apart and wanted to clean them. I did find part of my real plants leaf floating around, so yeah, the jerks are doing it again lmao. Kind of bummed, would have loved to see how they all looked fully after so many months, the one I do have really looks nice, for however much longer that'll be lol. The plants picture is now, almost 7 months after I received it...can see where a leaf has been plucked. Honestly, if I were to EVER try live plants again, I'd more than likely order these ones again. ... show more
