I am not able to reach the floor on/off button where I have the lamp located. I put the button on the table, hidden behind something and it works great. My uncle stopped by when I was outside putting lamp together. He helped me put it together. It was easy. Nice lamp for the money. It seems to be heavy, sturdy enough and not falling over. I needed a new office light and this did the trick. Assembly was quick and user friendly. Didn't even need instructions. Most of the pieces and wiring are all preassembled, just screw the poles together wrap the lamp shade and screw in your light bulb. I paired with a couple of smart bulbs rather than bothering with some of those remote control models. I just wanted a sturdy but ultimately cheep affordable lamp. The media could not be loaded. It is very easy to install, and the brightness is not overwhelming like natural room light. The button to turn on and off does limit where it can be placed but I found a good spot and I really like that feature. If you have cats be careful, my cats like to rub on it, so it wobbles a lot (Redirecting their behavior has helped with this issue). ... show more
