This lamp arrived on time, in such a small box that it was hard to imagine it could contain a full-size floor lamp. It was super easy to assemble, and it's very helpful that it has a remote control and multiple brightness and tone settings.

I have to say that this lamp was very impressive. The design, engineering and quality of manufacturing and materials far exceeded expectations. It came in a small, square box, so my initial reaction wasn't very positive. However, once I started the assembly, I was very impressed with how thorough the design was. The pole was quite thin, but very solid. The threaded ends to each pole section was machined with such precision that you absolutely couldn't tell it wasn't one solid piece. The lamp shade was the real jewel. The fabric came rolled up like a sheet if paper, but assembled easily around top and bottom hoops, so, it too looked like a single solid piece once assembled. Also, with the pivot base, you can direct the light from the bottom for reading while having diffused light for the surrounding room. The garnishment was the remote controlled, multi-temperature light bulb that installed easily inside the shade. Using the remote control, you can set the light temperature at multiple finely graduated temperatures or use the pre-programmed settings to suit your mood or environment. Fabulous! The only problem I had was with packaging. The person who packaged it for shipping assemble the top pole section backwards. Because of this small error, the typical person would have had to return the product, but, fortunately I had the experience and tools available to fix the error with wire cutters and inline Wago connectors. Any lights that are returned for this type of error should not reflect negatively on the quality of the lamp itself. ... show more

The remote and night time function are very important features for us. Room resident can adjust brightness to suit individual needs and time of day. Haven't used the 1 hour auto yet, but I am confident it will meet expectations.

Easily assembled and has various lighting abilities with the included bulb. The shade feels a bit cheap but it looks fine enough. Don't know why anyone would go around touching my lampshades so it's not an issue. Sturdy base as well.
