It's a great desk, very modern and sleek, and I'm really pleased with it so far. This desk is shipped in 2 separate deliveries. The legs and feet arrived first and on time. The desktop arrived later, and 2-3 days late, but I'm not complaining, because I understand that it's a heavy item. I'm just grateful that the main components (the legs and desktop) didn't arrive damaged. One part that was slightly damaged was the baffle, which was slightly dented in 2 areas. I chose to overlook that because it's not an electrical component and also isn't visible. It's a piece that's used to cover the motor on the underside of the desktop, presumably to, as the name says, baffle the noise of the motor. Also included was a chunky, hard plastic rectangular block, with a Flexispot logo sticker on it. It's purpose is for mounting a monitor arm that uses a clamp. The underside of the desk has a narrow lip and needs a block to support a clamping mechanism. It also comes with a cable management tray, which is helpful in hiding at least some of the wires. As for the assembly, it was easy to put together, the instructions were fairly clear, and the screws were separately bagged and marked. The assembly kit includes a screwdriver and 2 Allen wrenches. It took us about 40 mins to unpack, assemble, lift and move into it's place. The electronics work well so far, and thank goodness for that! The desk moves up and down effortlessly, which is awesome. The drawer is a tad smaller than I'd expected, but functions well and is made of all metal, not plastic. The drawer is one of the reasons I bought this desk, because I liked that the desktop didn't just look like a flat slab with sharp corners, as many standing desks do. It has a drawer and looks like a real desk and has rounded corners, which I think is very thoughtful design. The bamboo top is beautiful: very smooth surface, clean and bright looking. The wireless charger works fine. Some reviews have said that their phone gets too hot while charging, I don't find it to be a problem. Just make sure that your phone and it's case are wireless compliant, don't use the phone while its charging, and it shouldn't overheat. That being said, it does take up some desk real estate, but is still a luxury convenience. Before I bought this desk, I did a lot of research and it took me a long time to decide what desk to buy. There are a lot of choices and details to sort through when buying an item like this. I wanted to make sure that my money is well spent. I finally decided upon the Q8 because: 1. Its the right size for my setup (55x28) 2. The desktop is made of bamboo, a natural material 3. It has a metal drawer 4. It has dual motors and can lift 220 lbs. Although it was a higher price than I'd planned on paying, I do think it was worth it. I'm very happy with my new desk, I can now stand and work/game when I'm tired of sitting, and do so in comfort and style!

Great adjustable standing desk. Arrived sooner than expected. It was packed very well with protective foam. Despite several gashes in the outer packaging, the product inside arrived in pristine condition. Assembly took about an hour. The instructions are clear and best of all, the fasteners were labeled in individual packages. No trying to figure out which is bolt A or screw B. The desk itself is great looking, and high quality. The white with bamboo top has a clean, classic appearance. The desk adjusts quickly and easily and the center drawer is very handy for storing supplies. It’s very sturdy and stable. Most desks have earned 4.5 stars, but this desk definitely deserves FIVE stars! It is made from high quality materials and heavy duty steal frame parts. I had several pieces to put together, as all of them do, but the parts are labeled and the written instructions were super easy to follow. It does take two people to put the whole thing together, but If I did it over I could probably had built it on my own. I was confused on the directions about the motor and "not turning the rod more than 60 degrees". So when you read this, keep in mind that once you insert the rod into the desk legs, if you turn the rod to insert the other side into the motor - you will also be moving those legs up or down. We accidentally did this and then understood wha the seller meant by "60 degrees". If we hadn't seen what we did, one of the legs would have been longer/shorter than the other - which would make it cooked once we were done. So pay attention to the length of the legs once you get past that part. I am super impressed with the drawers and most other desks had tiny drawers that were no more than 2" deep. These are nice a large and deep enough to hold drawer containers that organize pencils, paper clips, etc.. The motor is quiet and the desk moves flawlessly up and down with ease. I've only had this for a little while, but I'm looking forward to having it a long time! I HIGHLY recommend this one!

The Good: Very Quick Delivery: I ordered the desk on a Thursday night, and the legs were delivered that Saturday (Easter weekend). The tabletop arrived that Monday. Packaging: Both the tabletop and the legs were packaged *extremely* thoroughly. Plastic, sheets of foam, blocks of foam, corrugated cardboard, corner guards made of such sturdy cardboard and foam that I could use them as paperweights, etc. It was storming when the desktop was delivered, and although the outer box was wet enough to smear the ink, the inside was bone dry. Assembly: SO easy and quick! All I had to do was bolt the legs on, bolt the feet on, plug in a few wires, then use the included magnetic screwdriver to attach the cable tray. The holes in the desk for the tray looked too small at first, and I thought I'd need a drill, but the screws went in just fine. The only reason this all took more than ten minutes was unwrapping everything and my choice to move with extreme caution to make sure I didn't mess anything up, in case I had to return it. I did ask my husband to help flip it over, but even that wasn't as difficult as expected. Sturdiness: This thing is heavy and solid. The legs feel like they could be filled with concrete--no hollowness or skimpiness. It doesn't wobble at all at sitting height, and only if I shove it hard at maximum height does it move noticeably. Nothing when I'm typing. As for the bamboo, my needle-sharp cats have thoroughly explored it and left zero scratches. The only scratch came with the desk, next to a small dent in the side that must have happened in the factory since the plastic and the box were pristine. It's so minor, I've stopped noticing it. Motor: Quiet and smooth. Does what it's supposed to. Built-in Charger: I was really pleased to see that the Qi symbol is now a cut-out in the surface of the bamboo instead of a plastic sticker (as I've seen in older reviews). I like the block of wood it came with to help install a monitor arm later on. Just a little thing, but it's sanded and has silvery letters on it (FLEXISPOT). THE BAD: There is only one thing to complain about, and that is the Dark Bamboo color. The color depicted on Amazon and the manufacturer's site is very different than what I received--even more of a discrepancy than one usually expects when ordering anything online. It's silly how dismaying I found it, but I spent months shopping and researching for this desk, reading Reddit, watching videos, weighing function, aesthetics, and budget (which was very tight--had to use a year's worth of gift certificates to buy this). I couldn't afford the planks of gorgeous natural wood that a lot of folks flex over with standing desks, but I thought I could enjoy what I saw in the (extremely few) online photos of Dark Bamboo. What I got, however, is murky and drab. Instead of dark chocolate brown or even a more-neutral midcentury brown, I got . . . Well, I had all sorts of colorful comparisons to make at first, until I calmed down (the color E.T. turned when he got sick; a photo from a color printer that's running out of ink, etc.) It looks like a mistake. The color is waxy-gray and hazy, with an unhealthy purplish undertone. The grain is hard to see, muddy, like it’s under thick, dusty, waxy build-up (but it isn’t). The vertical edge has the vertical stripes shown in the Natural Bamboo color’s photos, but they are harder to see and look more like faded stains from some kind of oil dripping down the sides. The attached photos actually make it look better than reality. (Added some official product photos for easier comparison.) Maybe this was a faulty stain job and the rest are better. Maybe others will like it better than I did. I just wish that the advertised color was anything like the reality. Over the last two weeks, I got a little more used to it and decided to keep it (the desk is otherwise fantastic), but I will never like this color, and I'll always feel just a wee bit foolish to have bought it. Short version: Highly recommend this desk! STRONGLY recommend that Flexispot improves their photos to match the reality. If I had it to do over, I'd go for the brighter natural bamboo color.

PURCHASE AND SHIPPING: Bought this during 2023 Black Friday and shipping took forever (took a while to ship out and also FedEx shipped it across the country by mistake). The item was shipped in two separate packages. I received the first half very quickly; however, it took almost another two weeks to receive the other half. I was afraid that the item would be damaged since it was being shipped across the country and back. However, it was packaged well and there were no noticeable damages. I won't knock off any stars for that but be aware if you purchase during peak shopping season. INSTALLATION: Anyway, it took us two hours to fully assemble the table. Instructions were okay and we had to go on YouTube for some of the steps just to be sure we were doing it correctly. We didn't end up using the under the table cable management. I believe you needed some extra tools to install that. They do provide most of the tools you will need to install. USAGE: I've been using it for a month and so far it has been great. The table is nice, sturdy and spacious. The movement up and down also feels very smooth. I also love that when it hits something (while going up), it stops so it doesn't cause damage. The drawer is a very nice touch so you can put any notebooks or miscellaneous items away. The preset height buttons are also easy to set and use but they do feel very sensitive and can activate upon slight touch. The wireless charging has proven to be very helpful! I use it everyday while I am working and do not use my charging cable at my desk anymore. As a warning, your phone can very warm (especially if you have a phone case on). I would not leave your phone unattended for a long period of time. Overall, it would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice standing desk!

This desk is incredibly sturdy and the size of the workspace is sufficient for two monitors and a laptop with room to spare! I love the ability to preset multiple heights, and the built-in wireless charging is amazing. I also like that I can charge my wireless keyboard and laptop easily with the USB charging options. With the right extension cord, multiple cables can easily be managed underneath the desk, giving you a clean workspace. Assembly was straightforward. Be aware that this will likely be shipped in multiple boxes.

Ordered a 55" standing desk - the top arrived pretty damaged on the front corner - unacceptable; seller said they would send another. Meanwhile my handyman assembled the legs. The 55" top finally arrived after some time - we went to install the top onto the legs - the legs are not wide enough - too small! I believe what happened is they had packaged legs for the 48" top, which they also sell, instead of the legs that would work for the 55" top (no way to widen legs either) - very frustrated. I'll update this review after resolution of the small legs issue.
