This is a standard part for many types of recliner/swivel chairs, and they come in different sizes. Just make sure you measure the ring size and the square flat swivel plate size, then order that replacement size. The media could not be loaded. Beware, this came with NO hardware or instructions. I used my ingenuity and watched some videos, measured 2 or 3 times and it was super easy to install on my Ashley rocker/recliner chair. I used six 1/4", 3" long machine screws with nuts to attach two 24" 1-1/2x4 pieces of wood to the chair, then i attached the swivel base to the wood. The chair base had 4 holes the same width apart as the swivel base, i was able to use 2 of the holes to attach the swivel directly to the chair (through the wood). All in all its really sturdy. It swivels smoothly, no creaks. My chair is also taller because of the wood, but the rocking and reclining are still intact. Great buy and it delivered the next day. ... show more

    • I was skeptic if it was going to fit, it did perfectly.
To be quite honest, seeing them next to each other the replacement seems to be a lot better manufactured than the original. Best 50 bucks I’ve ever spent.

    • Repaired my 13yo Swivel/Rocker/Recliner
Had I known I could get this replacement part years ago, I would have. My 13yo chair is in excellent condition (oversized for big & tall, full steel frame and replacement cost is almost $800! This $50 part helps ensure this chair will go for another 13 years! The cross braces broke on the old swivel and you couldn't recline back without falling over with the chair. No falling over anymore! YAY!! The reason for the 4 stars is because the mounting plate bolt holes aren't holes, they are slots. Rectangular slots at that. Had there been actual circle holes, installation would have been less frustrating. I still recommend this part. Shipping took a day longer than promised (3 instead of 2 days). ... show more

    • Make your recliner a swivel without a lot of work
This thing has dramatically improved my happiness with my recliner. Shortly after purchasing the recliner, I realized that a lack of swivel functionality was not going to be acceptable. This replacement base has been a real game changer. After looking at options others had used to attach one of these, I went with a piece of plywood and a few bolts. overall, it probably only raised the chair by 2 inches, and it does its job of swiveling well. The chair spins smoothly and without noise, but holds in the spot you're in without freely spinning. You do have to be sure to check your surroundings, because a recliner takes out a pretty big arc when it can move 360 degrees. Overall, this does what you need it to, and seems sturdy enough that it should last as long as the chair does. I'm very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it if you need to add swivel functionality to a recliner. ... show more
