Description

The Flex Giraffe makes use of intelligent materials and weight optimized design. At 8.9 pounds it is almost 1 pound lighter than its predecessors enabling better handling and effortless handling on high ceilings and walls. The unique balance concept guarantees relaxed, balanced working. Thanks to its optimum center of gravity and simple operation, sanding is noticeably more comfortable. The D-shaped handle, slim tube with recessed grip, and optimized joint also contribute to the tool's exemplary ergonomics. What's more, it's practically vibration free. The spring-mounted brush ring prevents brush marks during application and ensures optimum dust extraction. Flexible drive shaft from engine to sanding disc provides reliable transmission, excellent flexibility and minimal weight on the head of the Giraffe for easy handling. Adjustable speed regulation with 6 settings. Speed range of 1,100 to 1,650 rpm. 4.2 amps. Includes 12 foot anti-static hose.

I am on my 2nd flex ge5 sander. I have used other ones like festool, porter cable and some cheap knockoff ones. I do prefer this one over the others. Its lightweight, collects plenty of dust and is easy to use. I got the 12 ft hose this time around and it fits into the festool vacuum inlet, which is a plus so i dont have to buy another adapter.     • Excellent Product! Much better than the Porter Cable
Totally worth the money. I've used the Porter Cable many times prior to buying the Flex. The Flex is a much better sander. The head is much more fluid. I find this sander is also much less prone to scalping. I like running it with the Joebst 180 grit paper on high speed. Gives a very nice smooth finish with no swirls at all. The down side is this doesn't get into the corners. That's not a big deal to me as I prefer to hand sand the angles with a sponge. ... show more

Item came missing hose despite the listing saying package will have it. I'd rather not return the item, I just need the hose!

I do not like anything about this sander. It was a big waste of money. I bought a cheap knockoff of the porter cable and I like that way better. The flex giraffe I thought maybe I just needed to get used to it. Then the next time I try using it, it shakes so bad it jumps right off the wall. Do not buy this piece of crap. ... show more
