- Usage Recommendations Always load and unload filament using the printers interface, as pulling the filament out manually may increase the risk of drive gear clogging. After replacing the extruder, please perform bed leveling calibration to ensure proper setup and optimal print quality.

Replacement is easy if you watch the disassemble reassemble video. The very first part of the video show removing 4 inset screws on the back of the unit. Remove those, keep the screws, take the extruded unit off, then line up the new extruded unit and tighten the screws. Take only a few moments. The new extruder is working well and I am back to printing.

Worked great when we accidentally broke our whole extruder piece. IT DOES NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS. If you look at the instructions that came with the machine when first purchased and a video they did on their YouTube (flashforge support) called "Disassemble and assemble the entire extruder" its easy to figure out. They are showing a different model in the video but between the manual and the video you could probably figure it out. I wish they included step by step instructions just to make things more user friendly but its still a great product.

Fixed the issue. I had an extruder go bad and I purchased just a motherboard on Amazon installed it and it didn’t function properly. Should’ve just bought this extruder in the first place. Got the extruder four screws in the back. Take it out put the new one in up and running.
